Does character matter to evangelicals any more?

Evangelicals are forcing their religious views on the Government

A clear violation of the First Amendment
And if they did what the OP is intimating that they should do, you would be even more upset about them. "Russia! Russia! Russia! would fade into insignificance compared to your caterwauling.

They don't really want Evangelicals to, in vast numbers, influence elections. If you thought "Russia!, Russia!, Russia!" was bad...
Iran, Iran,Iran
Taliban, Taliban, Taliban

I know what you're trying to do here, and I want you to consider the logical extension of what you're saying. Consider if you got what you want, and all the American Evangelicals publicly agree to vote ONLY for candidates with the absolutely highest moral character, candidates that belong to and are members in good standing in an Evangelical church, IOW, one of their own.

How long would it be before democrats started running around screaming about a theocracy and demanding that Evangelicals stop insisting on such high moral character?

That's exactly what they'd be doing, just like WrongWinger is already doing in here, they can't help themselves. He's been full circle already, amusing to watch.

As I pointed out, they don't really want that to happen. All American Evangelicals agreeing to vote for only certain candidates would have them wailing about a theocracy and trying to find ways to stop them.

It would have them winning, that's all they care about, the power that comes with winning.

Wrongwinger mentioned 'policy', and that's why they run on Trump hate and nothing else, because their policies are antithetical to what most Americans want, and they know it. So they have to force it via government fiat, the very thing he's claiming that Chrisitan folks try to do, and then uses 'religion' for the reason they can't do it. Meanwhile it's okay for them to force their views down everyone else's throats, they can go screw themselves as far as I'm concerned.

The First Commandment that Evangelicals demand be posted establishes religion
Then you might not want to poke the bear too much and have all the American Evangelicals agree to vote only for certain candidates. There are a lot of Evangelicals in America.

How so? Putting words up on a wall 'establishes religion'? In that case, let's tear down all of the DEI and pride bullshit plastered everywhere. You're a complete fool. lol

He's too dumb to see the irony of his posts. :dunno:

Show us where that is a Federal law, and which religion is established?
First Amendment
Congress shall pass no law regarding the establishment of religion

By demanding the Ten Commandments be posted and taught you are establishing the religion of the Bible

By the same token, a rainbow flag in school establishes preferred sexual practices for young children.

You can keep repeating it, but unfortunately for you, it doesn't make it true. 🤡

Now you're just trolling like the troll you are, waste of time.

They can vote for whoever they want

Just calls into question the legitimacy of what they are preaching

And if Evangelicals decided tomorrow to only vote for candidates of strong conservative moral character who belong to an Evangelical Church, there's nothing you could do about it except complain. They would still allow you to do that.
