Does anyone here really care about the queen of England funeral?

If you want to know how the Brits feel about the passing of the Queen....you need to watch their coverage.
I watched a lot of the lying in state over the last few days.....and watched the funeral procession.
It's just a way of bringing everyone together and maybe for a few days...stop fighting over politics.

Thanks for narrowing that down for us.

I think the reason so many watched (I did not) is because we've simply never seen anything like it in
our lifetime. Even Presidential funerals weren't as grand as this one. Elizabeth sat on the throne for the better part of a century, and I think people see some mystique in that.

The Queen wasn't a controversial entity, at least here in the States. I think that plays into it. She's viewed as a sweet old lady who led a life which no one outside the royal family can really understand.
Plus, add to that the fact that people like pomp and circumstance, and I think that helps explain the popularity...
