Does anyone here really care about the queen of England funeral?

Sorry, but I was bored to tears when this was on Fox News. I guess they have to cover it because the other news stations do but geeze.. All this hoopla for what..? She is dead already.

And frankly, I don't know one thing she really accomplished save just being an heir to the throne. And Fox didn't inform us of any accomplishments either, which, you'd think if they were going to cover this story, they would at least do that.

I just see someone living in opulence while the "subjects" don't.. big deal.

And I'm still ticked at England for throwing out Catholicism (of course, today, the Catholic Church is ditch-worthy but that's beside my point bc in the days of King Henry VIII, the Church actually did what it was supposed to, namely told Henry VIII he couldn't get a divorce and marry [the soon to be head-less] Anne Boleyn

I watched a little of it but not the whole thing. Pretty big event. You don't see a Queen die everyday and QE II was a pretty good and well liked one. I was trying to see how the English viewed having a truly ROYAL family, not the POS cupcakes like we have here in the WH.

Oh yeah, saw Wally Winker and his Wife Jill show up too as any excuse to fly around the world on the country's dime as if anyone actually cared that Bedpan Joe was there.

I was up at 5 am to watch some of it. Really, it's the legacy, she was in her position loyally for so long even during the darkest of times.

Once this passes, the monarchy will be akin to the pope. Adding their two cents while the monarchy is worth $23B and has ZERO ability to relate to the average citizen of the world. In short, they will be placed on mute by 95% of the population and amplified by the small few who want to profit from whatever they are selling (i.e climate change etc).

The Queen didn't pursue personal profit as so many other Royals and politicians do today.
