I love to play...but I suck.

No, really...if I beat a 1200, I feel pretty good about it.

I have Chessmaster 9000 and a received a new travel chess set for Christmas, so perhaps my play will improve.

I played it a lot in the Army, especially in N. Ireland. But my wife prefers poker, so I don't play nearly as much as I used to.

I haven't played in quite a while. Learned as a kid but really polished my skills with a very good opponent in college.

I know the basic moves of the pieces but I very seldom play chess cause it just sucks.

^I might join. If they have a beginner level I will start with that, but when I do play beginner level with the computer, the blasted thing still beats me!!!
