Do you notice how gun nuts never talk about any limits to gun ownership?

Are they cool with the prospect of people open carrying fully automatic wherever they go? After all, it’s the second amendment! Why is this not a thing?! Surely at GOP conventions those tough republican politicians would feel safe with knowing any fucker carrying a weapon around them is allowed to. Republicans’ idea of limiting gun violence is more guns after all. More guns the better!

If they do draw the line at these scenarios, then don’t they see how ridiculous it is to say any from of gun control is unconstitutional? Who are republicans to arbitrarily decide what level of gun laws are acceptable but democrats can’t? Hell, even their St. Scalia said gun control measures were constitutional.

Do you notice how kids have freedom of speech? You may pretend they don’t because what they choose to say can be punished by an adult in charge, but adults can be punished for what they say as well by adults in charge. After all, you can lose your job if you find yourself catcalling that new hot intern everyday.

All that matters when it comes to the first amendment and kids is that they can’t be charged with a crime for their speech. Now all this being said, are toddlers being denied their bill of rights by not being able to carry a gun?

LefTard Logic:
“Father Government, please strip me of rights granted to me by our founders.”

Actually your rights were granted to you by God, the founding fathers simply acknowledged it.

Let’s split some hairs...who authored and framed the 2nd?

Doesn't matter who authored it, it matters where the notion originated and the author revealed that when he authored the Declaration of Independence. ("endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights" )

You do realize it is already illegal for civilians to own a fully a automatic weapon and for gun stores to sell them right?
thats wrong,,,it is still legal to own full auto and a gun store can sell them

its just that there are big hurdles and taxs that infringe on the ability to get them

depends on the State that you live in though Full Auto should be legal all through the USA . After all , the USA Taxpayer paid 'gov' servants have full auto weapons BlackHawk . [check out Class 3 Weapons for sale ]

Oh really?

The problem with gun control is Socialists always take it too far.......just like they're taking abortion too far.

I advocate "Common Sense Gun Regulations" and the State of Colorado is very near to that point. It only has one more to go to reach that and that should happen some time this year. Does that make me a socialists? Does that make me a Communist? Am I advocating that we come and confiscate all your guns?

Well I might advocate confiscating all your guns if you become a liability and direct safety to the public. And then, only your guns, not anyone elses. That is the last piece of law that will go into affect this year. Do the guns laws here keep me from walking in and purchasing a gun in about 15 minutes if I want one? Does it limit me to buying 500 rounds of ammo at a time once a week? Do I need to have special licenses and regulations to own, possess, transport, etc. the guns? Am I required to Register myself for anything other than weapons on the 1934 Firearms Act? The answer is No to all of these. I can have the gun or my choice to protect my home, I can have the gun of my choice for hunting, I can ...... That list goes on and on. You keep telling me that I should feel threatened. Funny, I don't feel threatened. Well, I do feel a little threatened by you so I guess I need to stay armed just in case. Never know when some people with some strange ideas may feel the need to do something really stupid.

My mistake that being the case it might as well be illegal as few will go through all that to get one and I can’t remeber the last time a fully automatic weapon was used in a crime.

I advocate "Common Sense Gun Regulations"

Your "common sense" may not be my common sense. Therefore, we apply the 2nd Amendment.

Again, what part of the 2nd amendment applies to the States and Local Governments who are the ones that make the real laws?

All states and local governments are bound by the Constitution.

Which gives the rights of gun regulation to the States and Locals through due process. When dealing with the 2nd amendment, it limits the Federal Government. It doesn't give any rights. It only means that the Federal Government can't take any rights on it's own. But the States can determine what is a right and what is not.

Only so long as such determinations do not impede the exercise of the Constitutional right. See DC v. Heller, for example.

Heller V only happened because DC was so far out on the limb and there was no State Court to rely on being that DC has no state court that the Supreme Court had to assume that role. That is the only time that SCOTUS has, in modern times, has made any ruling concerning the 2nd amendment. Don't look for it to happen again.

No......the federal government is. Enforcing the Constitution is up the the president, but the president still has to do what the courts say. This is what the courts are for. This is why Democrats are trying to take over the Supreme Court and all Federal Courts.

Splitting hairs. Supremacy clause. There is wiggle room, but when push comes to shove, the feds prevail over the states where a mandate exists.

We saw that when the supreme court rewrote the law in ocare and forced everyone to purchase a product or be penalized. The penalty is gone now.

They didn't rewrite the law. They ruled on what the Congress had passed as a law. That is all they could do.

Common-sense??? Sorry, that isn't in the left's vocabulary.
Wherever they apply common-sense to the gun debate it always leads to confiscation. Why? Because it always causes more violence, which leads to increasingly stricter gun laws. A prime example is Chicago.

When I worked out seriously, the term "Feel the Burn" was a good thing. But "Feel the Fear" is not usually a good thing when there really isn't a thing to feel. In Combat, "Feel the Fear" is a good thing for without it, you ren't operating at your maximum. But I just don't feel the need to "Feel the Fear" on this one. Your Fear routine isn't working so good anymore because there are other things more important to fear. You really need to start this out with "Once upon a time".
I hope you aren't talking to me.
Apparently you haven't the ability to keep up with current events. A perfect example is the Virginia Governor's comments on camera to infanticide.

I am talking directly to you. And I notice that you changed the subject to something that IS well worth the fear. Well, it is for me. But getting back to the original content, gun control the way you keep presenting it isn't a fearful thing around here. WE have a pretty good handle on it. Roe V Wade also has a pretty good handle on things as well. Deviating from either probably isn't such a good idea and it looks like SCOTUS will probably agree with that as well. But you can keep dreaming, there cupcake.

I do. There are still a few details to clean up.

The NRA used to....they, and Gov. Reagan, supported the ban on open carry in California back in the late 60s.

Most conservatives are simply ignorant and wrong: it is a settled, accepted fact of law that the Second Amendment is not absolute.
