Do You Have A favorite One Hit Wonder Tune?

"And if you want to split hairs, The Edwin Hawkins’ group did have another hit: They were the backup choir on Melanie’s “Lay Down” the following year.":)

The Edwin Hawkins Singers: Oh Happy Day (1968)

They did have other big songs. Go here for their radio history.

God bless you and each member always!!!

P.S. My most favorite song from them is their cover of "Gentle On My Mind" from the late and legendary Glen Campbell which is the song that scored them their one and only Grammy award.

This guy was most definitely a one hit wonder. This was his first release, and it went all the way to #3 in the spring of 2000. To me, it is good stuff.

God bless you and him always!!!

WOW! That's quite the orchestra!!! My favorite sound comes from the violas/violins which blend in well with the other instruments in this vid. That organ sounds to be what's carrying the tune or maybe better said the "mood setter" Those violas/violins on their OWN can raise people right out of their chairs & onto their feet, me included. Thanks so much for the vid!

The magnificent conductor Raymond Lefevre & his orchestra plays my all time favorite tune!

2 months after this Ronny Burns song about vietnam I had to leave Australia and report for my induction physical
