I approve of him ending our presence in a situation Afghan soldiers would not even fight for.

But amnesia is not allowed so:

IM2 explains how because Trump set the table it doesn't matter how Xiden clears it off, because it's Trump's fault even when it isn't his responsibility.

I get it IM2, everything about the left is a rejection of responsibility, and displacement of the same. That's why you feel you need the govt. to take care of you.

Neat BTW your Xiden takes credit for our departure, and not a peep how it was his administration that responsible for carrying this out. He's wrong on both accounts.

lol! Doesn't work like that. Many of these are US citizens working for contractors, corporations, and NGOs in the AOR. They have a valid reason for being there.

And they were warned months ago that Afghanistan was no longer safe.

Honestly, the lesson here should be that we should stop fighting wars because the "contractors and corporations" are making a shitload of money. NATO got the hell out of Afghanistan in 2014. But not us. Haliburton and KBR were making too much money.

They were warned before they boarded the plane to go there. That does not forfeit their right to due process by their consulate. Yes, we should stop all of these stupid fucking wars. But we won't, for the same reason those people are over there, the constant rape of the American taxpayer is far too profitable.

FALSE!

On April 13, 2021, day before BIDEN announced his non-conditions based withdrawal plan, there were a total of 10,000 allied troops on the ground in Afghanistan. Of that 10,000, only 2,500 troops were United States troops. The other 7,500 troops, were troops from NATO countries.

The United States HAS NEVER fought wars for contractors and corporations. NEVER! That is just a FAR LEFT, or Isolationist conservative conspiracy theory that is easy to dispense with.

Also, most of the 5,000 U.S. citizens still in Afghanistan are people who worked with humanitarian related NGO's doing important work for the Afghan people.

15 people approve so far.

Showing you that somehow 15 cretins still have enough mind power to log onto the board.

Okay... you are kind of babbling here, but let's look at this.

They were warned that Afghanistan was unstable.... They went anyway. We'll make an effort to get them out, but there has to be a point where you say, "You pays your money and you take your chances".

But NATO itself ended operations in 2014.

Actually, we spent 3 Trillion on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Where did that money go? It's a lot of money for so little results... and not surprisingly, a lot of money went to these corrupt ass contractors.

Haliburton alone received 39 Billion from their work in Iraq and

These big companies also have a lot of lobbyists in Washington, and you can't see the connections?

Again- they knew the work was dangerous when they took it.

He should have allowed the civilians, interpreters, equipment to leave and the soldiers to leave last. He did it backwards. Weird.

He shouldn't have had to deal with this because we should have pulled out years ago.... But Trump threw this bag of shit over the fence and now he had to deal with it.
He had a time machine? Did Obama pull them out? I know, everything is Trumps fault. I am shocked you’re not blaming the Jews for this. Usually that is your go to card.

Obama should have pulled them out, too. Although at least Obama actually finished key components, like killing Bin Laden.

Trump on the other hand, released 5000 Taliban and secretly negotiated with them, undercutting our allies. Just like Nixon did to the RVN at the Paris Peace talks.

But yeah, the Jews are to blame. They are the ones who keep instigating us to get into wars in the Middle East.

You really need to put the shiny side outward. This is a perfect example of what happens if you put the shiny side inward.

Uh, pay attention, Mormon Bob.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Ryan Crocker appeared Thursday on Anderson Cooper 360, where he blamed former President Trump for the Taliban’s recent surge in the country. Trump had planned to meet with Taliban leaders and the Afghan president at Camp David in 2019. After the meeting was canceled, a U.S. representative for Afghanistan met with Taliban leaders in Qatar in February 2020, where both sides signed a peace agreement. It’s at that meeting that Crocker believes the current situation in Afghanistan was born. Not only were there no representatives from the Afghan government present at the meeting, but Afghanistan was asked to make certain concessions to the Taliban.

“In my view, we bear a major responsibility for this. Began under President Trump when he authorized negotiations between the U.S. and the Taliban without the Afghan government in the room. That was a key Taliban demand. We acceded to it, and it was a huge demoralizing factor for the Afghan government and its security forces,” Crocker said. “We pressed them to release 5,000 Taliban prisoners. Eventually they did it, and watched them go back into the fight against the people who released them. So this is a year and a half worth of demoralization.”

Crocker, who was appointed to his position by President George W. Bush, believes the U.S. pulling troops out of the country, which was part of the 2020 agreement, means the end for Afghan forces.

There is the Joe we all know and love.
