Do republicans have a limit on their philosophy of gun-owning freedom?

equal protection of the law is a reason for Government in the US.

Of course equal protection under the law is a goal of the Constitution ... But equal is equal ... Not in favor of anyone (rich, poor, employed, unemployed, race, creed etc...).
It is a device by which we treat everyone equally ... Not a device to make everyone equal.

.

Like is it in their fantasy for it to one day be legal for anyone to open-carry automatic rifles whenever and where ever?

My question is where do gun nuts draw the line? Like when it comes to open carry, what rules should it have? Should it have no rules? Like some dumb redneck carrying a gun into a bar til 2 AM is okay? Anyone should be allowed to do that?

As usual republicans struggle with nuance when it comes to political issues they are obsessed with. For example, cons will likely reply to this thread and start making the ridiculous claim that I think the 2nd amendment should be overturned. I don't. I also don't think semi-automatics should be illegal. I support laws that are designed to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people. I also think open carry is ridiculous.

It doesn't really matter if I say all of that though. In their minds I'm a "snowflake" that is outraged over boys playing with toy guns. I'm nothing but a naive, pretentious "libtard" with a Gender's Studies degree who thinks guns are evil. Cliche is something easy for republicans to grasp I guess.

The limit is in the Constitution. Your rights can be infringed on only if you are able to limit them through due process of law. It's not that hard
the law of the land is subject to legislation.

So government can pass laws outlawing abortion and sending people to jail if they criticize Obama? Why do we have a Constitution then?

employment at will is a simple concept; why is it not equal for the poor?

It is politics. We have a Constitution, why is equal protection of the law still a problem for the right?

yes; y'all object to becoming more well regulated. there is no excuse.

Each state has a well-regulated militia ... So what's your excuse to think it is any different?

.
why are we wasting money on a federal War on Crime? should we ask Kentucky Colonels for leadership advice.

WE are wasting money? How much taxes do YOU pay?
I pay, every time the right whines about taxes for social services. I guess we really do need to ask Kentucky Colonels for leadership advice, regardless of color.

employment at will is a simple concept; why is it not equal for the poor?

Probably because some nit-wits gave the federal/state governments the ability to help decide who can hire who, and under what conditions, in the private market.

I personally don't care if the person I am hiring is rich or poor ... As long as they can meet the standards I set and comply with or exceed the stated job requirements.
I really like it when employers treat their employees like trash ... It makes it easier to steal the good ones away ... And saves me a little time and money in training.

This is a lie.

Are you able to legally own a gun?
If so, you should be able to legally open carry pretty much anywhere.
Exceptions are banks, courthouses, various state/federal government buildings, and anywhere the owner posts a sign that prohibits it.

dear, it is about the Whole and Entire concept of employment at will in an at-will employment State. why not read up on it, like good managers should.

It would make it easier for law enforcement to call up some posse. What is your opinion of posse duty, like jury duty, for a week.

Ok but what justifies open carry anytime, anywhere?
The right to keep and bear arms. It does not apply just in your house.
The question you shod ask: What justification is there for making it illegal?
Be sure to supply the appropriate citations.
gun lovers creating a security hazard for any free State.

Mine is nicer, the AR that is.
Poor prone position -- you should tuck a leg under to get your diaphragm/chest off the ground.

I understand the concept ... I just said it is none of your or the government's business ... It isn't like I really care what you think would be a nice idea.

If you think your ideas are better ... And that you can do more to help employees ... Then open a business and get the hell to it.
Otherwise ... You are just panhandling some more bureaucratic bullshit ...

Professors should use your post to teach students when they come across a Straw Man Argument. It's a classic example.

I'm not a Republican, but as a rational person, the limit on gun ownership is one's financial ability to purchase guns, as it is with any perfectly legal (and in this case Constitutionally Protected) product.

in other words, equal protection of the law can get, "thrown under the bus" for the sake of private profit.

The non-porn sector thanks you.
