Do NY Democrats Even Realize How Badly They're Going to Hurt Their Economy Or is it That They Just Don't Care?

Not to mention the fact that they're going to starve due to food shortages but what about free rent? Well what's going to happen when landlords aren't profiting off of their property anymore? They're probably going to sell off their property just so they can have the funds to survive as this is New York so they probably don't have any other jobs.

That puts many people out on the street and homeless. No food, no shelter. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but I think I pretty much got it all figured out much faster than them and this is coming from somebody who received special education as a child.

Ah well, I guess that some people just have to learn their lesson the hard way. If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is. RIP NYC. It was nice knowing you.

What's the over/under for when NYC wants/demands a bailout? Followed by other major cities, and it'll happen as soon as a democrat is sworn in as the next president and he/she has a democrat Congress.

Good point but do they even have bail in major cities? It seems like they book em and dump em.

Now I originally posted in my OP that food prices will probably skyrocket as well but New York is all about giving out everything for free so I scratched that. What's going to happen when there's no food left though is my question.

I meant a federal bailout of NYC's debt. As in loans that'll never be paid back.

Ohh okay I feel stupid now lol but I wonder how much airfare is going to rise now.

Food in NYC is most often purchased at local, neighborhood markets that get it from either large retailers or vendor delivery services. It just depends upon price and demand.
This is due to commute times. If working in Manhattan and you live in Richmond Hills (in Queens) you have a commute by train of at least an hour each way. Then add 30 minutes to that for getting to the station and then to your job from the stop and you really got 90 minutes of commute. If you live in NY but outside the 5 Burroughs that goes to 2+ hours each way. (Grand Central is fairly central)

So on top of a minimum of a 11+ hour day every day....you really don't get much time to go to a decent supermarket. So the corner store is your lifeline. And that's only if you actually own a car. You can call a taxi but they are usually expensive and smelly, making you lose your appetite for your groceries. You arent going to use the train for bags of groceries....much too dangerous and bulky to even try. If Juliani was mayor....no biggie. Now? Uhhhh....never.

So.....even if there are city operated grocery stores....it will be an expensive dud.

So I was right the first time then. Food prices are probably going to skyrocket then because they're just not going to have the funds to keep their businesses running.

I suspect seats that are inbound to NYC will be dirt cheap,

Now that's something that I believe actually could be free. 😂

People who are promised free shit don't care until their pockets take a hit. Ask the victims of Madoff scheme.

How does Mamdani plan on giving them free stuff anyways? He's obviously scamming them. Can people really be that stupid?
