• Democrats are in a world of deep doo-doo and they are gambling that they can cause a government crisis and with stupidity from voters and help from the media, it will all get blamed on the Republicans. • But if it falls through, backfires and blows up in their faces, they are no worse off than if they had not tried. So in that sense, they risk nothing.

I agree. I did not hear everything MTG said, but she is right: the GOP ought to be in session moving forward making it clear that the only thing keeping government in neutral are the democrats. And after Trump was elected, the whole GOP should have sat down and worked out a policy and contingency plan for every action and direction democrats might take.

Instead of worrying about how to break even and just get democrats back at the table working, they should be thinking big looking for a way of kicking them all to the curb while making them take all of the blame and losses.

Put another way, Dems know that the GOP would NEVER go on strike for over a month. Republicans have never done a thing to make democrats fear them walking out, republicans are all bark and no bite. And not much bark at that.

If the Democrats had truly been smart, they would have seen Trump coming, realized his potential, then swung him over to running as a democrat--- with Trump on their team, between Trump and the democrats working together, they could have utterly anihilated the republicans.
