Patrick Henry and the Anti-Federalists didn't think they failed given that they opposed the adoption of the Constitution and pointed out that the delegates to the convention were not authorized to create an entirely new constitution in the first place.

You make a statement you can't defend yourself, and then post the work of others to make your point for you. Educated people can make a claim, argue their claim, and then use outside sources to back-up what they're saying. Not rely on it solely. Core powers have ABSOLUTE IMMUNITY. Those core powers include pardons and commanding the military.

Absolute means that any order, command or discussion with those entities are beyond reach. This includes if they do so with intent and if it was not clear enough:
"Finally, the majority declares that evidence concerning acts for which the President is immune can play no role in any criminal prosecution against him. See ante, at30–32. That holding, which will prevent the Government from using a President’s official acts to prove knowledge or intent in prosecuting private offenses, is nonsensical."

Core powers have absolute immunity. That immunity precludes any investigation into areas covered and includes being unable to address state of mind.

If he orders the DOJ to lie (giving orders to the DOJ is an official core power) for personal gain it is STILL immune as outlined by the above.

There is something you obviously don't understand about Libertarians. That is understandable in this age of Orwellian obedience to a man whose behaviors, opinions, and statements flux all over the map.

Libertarians are some of the most diehard principled people you will ever meet. They don't throw all of their principles out the window like these Trumptards do.

I might think they are whackadoos, but I respect their faithfulness to their cause and their beliefs.

They also allow a wide variety of opinions in their organization, unlike the Trump cult which excommunicates you and makes you wear a RINO label on your shirt if you don't bow down to Dear Leader.

It is the plight of a third party, you do not have the luxury of throwing people out because they have minor disagreements with you. You can coalesce around the things that you do agree on.

The major parties are little more than identities at this point, no core or central moral ground. This leaves little room for disagreement. They act more like churches than political groups.
