It was a lot worse for me and mine during Bush's administration...especially the last 4-5 years of it.

I remember the first 6 months or so of Obama's presidency where I was worried about being employed because if memory serves i was living in a recession that began under Bush.

My income, 401k and other investments are in complete recovery since the Bush recession.
