Do All Republicans Have to Think Alike?

Just something that I was just thinking about. Not all democrats think alike as some are progressive and some are moderate so why do all Republicans have to think the same or suddenly they're not Republicans so why is that?


I would say that I'm a moderate Republican just like there are moderate Democrats although I tend to be far right leaning on some issues but not so far right that I hate all Democrats as like I was saying in another thread on here that it just depends on how progressive you are.


The reason that I bring this up as I've been having a few disagreements with some Republicans on here lately because of my suggestions of how to restore peace in this country. I've been constantly accused of wanting to abolish the first and second amendment which I actually don't have it on record of me saying but that's not what this is this thread is about.


For I thought that Republicans were supposed to agree to disagree with each other peacefully like Charlie Kirk often welcomed but I've often been looked at as a traitor for having different views so why are Republicans getting angry at Democrats that they often can't have civil discussions when Republicans are guilty of that too?


Especially when all of my brainstorm ideas have been about how to stop the crazies from getting ahold of guns and prevent another assassination from happening like it happened on September 10th?


This isn't to call anybody out it's just a question. However I really respect BackAgain for his comment about how Republicans generally to agree to disagree without hatred as he's the one who inspired this thread, but unfortunately he's in the minority around here right now.

We don't always agree. And we have trouble passing bills because of it.

Dems in govt usually are in lock step on votes. They wiped out the Blue Dog modetates in their party.

While political ideology in the USA tends to be a moving target of late, especially the past couple of decades, my observations have been ....

The Democrat Party has been shifting further Left to the point that one nearly has to be a confirmed Marxist to get "official" support and funding. Some like John F. Kennedy if alive today, in his 40s and politically active would like be a RINO/CINO.

RINO = Republican In Name Only
CINO = Conservative In Name Only

With the two major parties dominating USA politics, if one isn't a "Flaming Marxist" then their chances as a Democrat are slim.
This leads to the Republican party being a catch all of sorts.
While the ideal would be "Conservative", that term has some varied definitions, and those politically active but not accepted by the Democrats, would seek the Republicans if they want any chance of support and getting elected.

While there are dozens of "Independent/Third" parties, their numbers, funding and influence is very minimal and their candidates rarely win anything other than small local elections.

So, my experience is that Republicans don't all think alike and often working with those here in my locale can be like trying to 'herd cats', or herd herds of cats.

Well if being a RINO means that I don't want the mentally ill people to have the right to own a gun and I don't want people to have their lives threatened and for it to be allowed and that anybody threatening anybody should be shot and should be legal to shoot them... I guess that I'm a RINO. Yeah, that's why a lot of Republicans on here are accusing me of trying to abolish the first and second amendment.

Yet again I have found another example of why freedom of speech in this country has to be re-examined or the second amendment needs to be expanded to include just verbal threats. It's way out of control.

Some of you need to go back to the Founding Fathers and understand what the limits to free speech really is. This country has lost its way

Someone saying things you disagree with is not threatening you.

Normal, rational, sane people do not want to kill people they disagree with. Normal, rational, sane people don't want to kill people because they exercised their Constitutional right to free speech.
