Excluding Britian, Europe is more socialist, less religious, dying culturally and biologically, and full of such freedom expanding laws as restrictions on hate speech and gun ownership. Europe's marriage rates and birth rates are plummeting as their families die in conjunction with the rise of statism. Europe doesn't have a hard core vein of rebelling against statism and tyranny as the US does. And Europe has faster trains...somehow fast trains are conflated with superiority.
And, especially appealing to them, Europe is full of bred and born elites who think they were born to rule. Here in the US the liberals have to make do by sucking the asses of Hollywood celebrities, reality show stars and tech billionaires. But they miss the chance to doff their hats to real and decadent nobility.
