Diversity is not our strength

Those who prattle on about diversity are inevitably the most rigidly conformist idiots imaginable who tolerate absolutely no disagreement with their dogma.

Have they ever considered preserving the diversity of all the distinct European cultures? Of course not. They want all countries swarmed with third word invaders who only want to obliterate these cultures.
UNITY has always been the strength of the US. E Pluribus Unum. All for one and one for All.

Rome still exists to this day.
it's spirit exists right today in this country. Roman life was brutal. They entertained their citizens with vulgarity and lewdness. If it wasn't lewdness and vulgarity then it was epic amounts of bloodshed in its arenas.
Much like today.

``Blood that has soaked into the sands of a beach is all of one color. America stands unique in the world: the only country not founded on race but on a way, an ideal. Not in spite of but because of our polyglot background, we have had all the strength in the world. That is the American way.'' ...And, yes, the ideal of liberty and justice for all -- that is still the American way.

We are, and should be, a "nation-state". The state part of this terms means we have enforceable borders (which is a completely other topic to write about given the current administration's failure and refusal to enforce our borders". The term "nation" means something different. It relates to what we, the citizenry, identify first with. For example, are we Americans? Do we identify as Americans? What does it mean to identify as an American? It means that we all have a commonality that includes shared beliefs and values. We can have a diversity of religion, but we all first identify as American. It is this homogeneity that creates a nation.

We cannot have a nation without this. You cannot be "African-American" or some other ridiculous and fictitious identity. Some minorities proclaim, "I is a memba of duh 'Hoogla Boogla' tribe frum whence ma ancestors belonged!", then where primitive garb and jewelry from the tribe to identify with them. This is all well and good, but if you are not first and American, then you need to not be here because you are diluting our national identity.

Again, diversity in itself if fine. But to be a citizen here in a country that qualifies as a nation-state, you must identify primarily as American. You have no right, moral or legal, to be here and not have your primary identity be America. It is a matter allegiance to the nation. If you do not pledge your allegiance to America (substantively, not just saying the pledge), then you should not be here.

When commonality erodes, so will the nation-state. Then we become merely land with borders. This is what leads to civil wars, coups, revolutions, and anarchy. The Democrats are trying just as hard as they can right now to erode the American nation-state by attacking both the Nation (allegiance) and the State (borders) components. I can give many examples of leftist policies being employed that are quite destructive to the American nation-state. But I don't think that is really necessary, as they are self-evident. Virtually every Dem policy that tries to couch itself in terms of "Fairness", "equity", "Diversity", and "justice" are, in fact, attacks upon the American nation-state.

Does this mean that Dems are horrible people who hate America? Yes, pretty much.

We have only been united in very brief periods of our history ....during WWII, during the 9-11 attack, and perhaps during the Revolutionary War....though even then many supported the King some even fled to Canada.

Since the original thread on this was locked down....I am coming to the rescue.

Many, many people have been propagandized by the media and corrupt politicians into believing that diversity is a good thing

When in fact.........exact the opposite is true

Anyone who knows whats what....understands this

You must be one of those left wing Nazis we have heard so much about.

Let's set aside the stupid racial bruhahas as the domain of stupid racists and not a factor of diversity that we all should strive for and appreciate. And let's set aside--for the moment--the point that Dogmaphobe made that nobody cares about preserving or promoting or including ancient European cultures that go back 20k up 50k years suggesting that true diversity is not what they're shooting for.

Diversity is a good thing when everybody has to meet the same qualifications of aptitude, ability, experience, knowledge etc. But then is it really diversity? Or is just a mixture of various eye, hair, skin colors, genders and heritages that share a common quality of excellence?

But when diversity to achieve a mixture of eye/hair/skin color and heritage requires qualifications to be lowered whether those be athletic ability/strength, intellect, personal/professional experience, knowledge or whatever, do you really have diversity? Or do you have a mixture of eye, hair, skin color, gender and heritages that is less capable, less competent, less intelligent, less experienced, less educated?

We should always reward excellence, integrity, competence and that should be the goal along with making sure there are no artificial barriers in place. The eye, hair, skin color, gender, heritage of those who achieve excellence, integrity, competence is irrelevant.

You mean destroyed Rome. Yeah.
In a sense you are correct. Constantine unwittingly made Christianity the world religion it has become because he admired the organizational skills of the 4th Century Christian leaders who were able to manage a broadly diverse group of Christ followers. He hoped to utilize that ability to keep his fracturing empire--can we say too diverse and at odds with itself?--under Roman control. For the first time Christians were not persecuted but were protected by the State and favored over all. And it worked for awhile but eventually the 'barbarians' prevailed and there was no long an official empire by the mid to late 5th Century when the last Roman emperor vacated his throne.

Monarchies and feudal lords filled the vacuum left when the Empire dissolved often in cooperation with the Roman Church that had become increasingly powerful. But again it would be diversity that eventually tore large segments of the Roman Church away and became many thousands of different Christian groups/denominations world wide.

The wrong kind of diversity has subsequently weakened the Church like it does everything else and the nation and world is poorer for it.
