Yes, but there are not enough Democrats to carry the discharge petition alone. They need some Republicans on board, and they have them.

However, the total still falls short of the necessary votes without Adelita Grijalva, who was elected seven weeks ago. That is why scumbag Mike Johnson has been refusing to swear her in all this time.

But now that the House has to open a session to vote on the budget which opens the government, Johnson has no choice but to swear in Grijalva. Thus making it possible for the discharge petition to pass.

Unless...Trump and Johnson bribe the Republicans who wanted to vote in favor of the discharge petition to change their minds.

Johnson may be a piece of shit, but he's not stupid. He planned it this way.
