Don't overlook a vote for releasing the information is also a vote getter. I'm sure our friends on the left will be more than willing to help out. That's brings up a circle back that if there was anything there, it would have been out before.

I never believed the blah blah on the campaign trail or conservative media about releasing the so called files. Blah blah by people who didn't know what they were talking about. Then they all get into government and find it's all based on some dirty highly classified espionage and sex based blackmail against some of our 'friends' for one thing or another.
Think of the Patel/ Bongino/ Bondi blow up.
And I'm pretty sure the Dems knew this. Make a big tadoo over something they know that can't be released in it's entirety and scream cover up.
