What does oil have to do with the virus?

Oil is dirt cheap right now, should be no problem for the government to fill er up...but it is not part of the problem right now.

It is also something that has been happening for 3 weeks thanks to our wonderful President.

2. The democrats stripped out $billions from the Bill that was for buying oil
3. There is NO ******* MONEY to buy $23/bbl oil thanks to the democrats

Does that clarify the issue for you? No money = no oil for the strategic reserve

We don't need this in a bill to combat the effects of the virus. Just like we don't need the green energy stuff.

2. The $2Trillion was just approved by the Senate, the House needs to approve it and then Trump needs to sign it before its officially in the Budget.

I would have agreed with the OP's point 20 years ago but over these last 2 decades both parties have had a blind eye towards the black hole referred to as our national debt. I'm for cutting up our government's credit card.

The POINT is that economic recovery is as important as medical recovery. Replenishing the SOR at very low prices is essential to restoring our economy and protecting it from future disruptions. (It is the same as ordering more ventilators in case we need them.)

Remember when Southwest Airlines purchased large quantities of jet fuel when prices were low? That allowed them to survive the 'Great Recession" while others went out of business. Why is it so hard to see the direct relationship between dealing with today's problems and preparing for tomorrow?

You are preaching to the choir about the $23T Debt. I'm all for raising taxes on the top rate if that helps.
