different parties have different opinions, that is natural

but must they hate and insult each other?

I think they might be more civil in their talking.

I think the left is bat shit crazy.

left and right say that about each other ....
It appears that algorithms largely filter what information we receive, feeding our biases. That, in turn, creates more bias and divisiveness, and more interest.

Foreigners are capitalizing on this and the ability to turn clicks into cash by feeding hate to the willing. Xitter is now overrun with it.

well explained!

Nothing really new, I'd said. The internet and other outlets just magnify. Dirty politics have been part of the American landscape for a long long long time. For instance, the 1884 election.

The presidential election of 1884 is regarded as one of the dirtiest in American history. It pitted Democratic New York Governor Grover Cleveland, a corruption reformer, against Republican Senator James G. Blaine. The presidential campaign turned on the morality of the candidates. The Democrats assailed Blaine charging that he had wrongfully profited while in Congress from railroad-road interest, stating, “Blaine! Blaine! James G. Blaine! Continental liar from the State of Maine!” Two weeks after Cleveland won the Democratic Party’s nomination, the Republicans found a chink in “Cleveland’s moral armor.” Maria Halpin, a 35-year-old widow, made the headline by declaring that Cleveland, a bachelor, was the father of her illegitimate ten-year-old son, Oscar Folsom Cleveland. Republican media had a field day. They subsidized massive distribution of a published song mocking Cleveland entitled: “Ma! Ma! Where’s my pa?”

Funny! 😎😀

.

The left are far more violent than the right --

Example - the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

.

'No evidence' found yet of ties between Charlie Kirk's shooting and left-wing groups, officials say

Three people familiar with the federal probe into Kirk’s assassination told NBC News that investigators have yet to find a link between the alleged shooter and left-wing groups.

“Every indication so far is that this was one guy who did one really bad thing because he found Kirk’s ideology personally offensive,” this person continued.

Any updates?

The MAGA propaganda was promoted by the Progressives. It was just a campaign theme. Over a few years it was normalized in our culture. So, saying that, we wear to many statements on our clothing as we walk around with pajamas and slippers as acceptable attire to wear in public. So, Secretary Duffy suggest as an example to wear proper clothing when at airports and taking a flight. This will help to reduce the animosities.

I will give you two elections worse than 1884, 1828 Andrew Jackson vs John Quincy Adams and 1860 what southern states said about Lincoln.

Looks like they do. Your thread didn't even get past post#2 before one side started.

I think there are RINOs in Trump's administration that's trying to bring down his party by introducing stupid rules.
They know Muslims and Hindus wear pajamas style clothing everywhere. And that'll start many lawsuits that'll cost taxpayers a lot of money.
There's nothing wrong with wearing slippers like flip flop on a plane. That'll save TSA time from inspecting shoes.
Pres. Trump needs to stop putting members of FOX news media on his administration. They were the ones who started their attacks on him at both of his elections.

What do you think?

Right has hate rethoric against Black people, for example, the alt-right has something against Muslims, left is also hateful towards right.

It is the natural path of politics.

Everyone got an opinion.

That has to come from leadership. The current adminstration is unlike anything the country has ever seen in terms of behavior.

And what are the Democrats doing? I see them talking now about doing the same stupid thing, as we've seen with Newsom.

We're devolving in real time. And our political "system" incentives and rewards the worst impuses of its participants.
