Did the price of oil get to Don?

The problem is your source is CNBC. Regular NBC is bad enough, but that's even worse.
Probably devoid of facts period.
GFY.

He told CNBC’s Joe Kernen in a phone call shortly after the post that “we are very intent on making a deal with Iran.”

However, Iranian state media, citing an unnamed “senior security official” in a post on Telegram countered Trump’s description of conversations, saying direct or indirect talks have not taken place between Washington and Tehran.

“There is been no negotiation and there is no negotiation, and with this kind of psychological warfare, neither the Strait of Hormuz will return to its pre-war conditions nor will there be peace in the energy markets,” state media reported the official as saying.

At times like these I begin to wonder if trump has arranged for a way to profit from how his actions or statements move the markets.

Looking forward to seeing how Trump and MAGA turn this goddamn mess with Iran into a big victory.

Because cult.
I wonder if he told anyone in his government he was going to make this announcement ahead of time? I wonder if Bebe knew?

TACO anyone?

Dow futures jump 1,000 points after Trump says U.S. and Iran have held ‘productive’ talks:

Stock futures shot higher in a sudden move after President Donald Trump said the U.S. and Iran have held productive talks over the last two days and he was halting any strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures jumped 1,100 points, or 2.6% higher. S&P 500 futures jumped 2.7%, and Nasdaq-100 futures added 2.7%.

Those moves came as the Iran war entered its fourth week, with tensions escalating over the weekend. President Donald Trump threatened an attack on Iranian power plants if the Strait of Hormuz — a key shipping route for oil and other energy products — isn’t reopened. Iran responded in turn said it would target U.S. infrastructure, including energy and desalination facilities in the Gulf, if the U.S. carried out its threat.

Who are we going to talk to? Don said everyone in Iran's leadership is dead.

If anything was predictable about the conflict trump got us in to it's that he would blink. Cuz despite he claims to the contrary he did not expect the impact of his ill-fated decision to attack Iran to go this badly with respect to the US economy/stock market.
The Dow changes is someone farts

Cry more, loser.

After the illegal surprise attack, reminiscent of Japan's illegal attack on the USA fleet in Pearl Harbor during the middle of negotiations, surely the Iranians will trust whatever he says.
</sarcasm>

However, it would be great if the Straight reopens.......

Iran, at least publicly, rejected any progress in ending the U.S.-Israeli war on the country, now in its fourth week. American, Israeli and Iranian officials have frequently given clashing statements throughout the war as they seek to advance their competing agendas and motives.

Mr. Trump himself has often issued contradictory pronouncements about his plans for the next steps in the conflict, sometimes on the same day. On Saturday, Mr. Trump had threatened to bomb Iran’s power plants after 48 hours unless Iran agreed to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical oil shipping route in the Persian Gulf.

Iran’s foreign ministry suggested there were no talks with the United States although it noted that there had been “regional initiatives” aimed at reducing tensions. The ministry argued Mr. Trump’s statements were part of an effort “to reduce energy prices and to buy time for implementing his military plans,” according to Iran’s Mizan news agency.

Analysts and officials say there is no clear offramp for the American-Israeli air war with Iran, which began on Feb 28. and has ignited a wider regional conflict. Despite Mr. Trump’s calls for the ouster of the Islamic Republic and his vow to help Iranians overthrow their leaders, the Iranian government remains in place, as is much of its nuclear program.

It would be helpful to know who and what to trust.

He claimed, just like he did last summer, that Iran's nuclear facilities had been wiped out. The price of oil was still rising until today's questionable announcement.

Don't be such a fool.
OIl dropped 8% today
