I know that theory has been kicked around a lot and every now and then somebody resurrects it. I personally remain unconvinced one way or another.

I do think it odd that George Tenet would have counselled George W. Bush that the case for presence of WMD in Iraq was a slam dunk. Which seem odd that the CIA would have been convinced of that when very little evidence of massive WMD was found in Iraq. So they arranged for thousands of innocent people to be murdered by orchestrating 911? To get GWB to go to war against Iraq? But for what purpose? The common sense side of me tends to reject that theory. But I honestly don't know.

There is still the mystery of the convoys of trucks leaving Iraq headed for Syria ahead of the Allied invasion of 2003. James Clapper is on the record that he believed those trucks were loaded with the WMD, evidence Saddam had kept hidden from the U.N. inspectors. Not much was said about that later after the war settled in to be another 'endless war' with no end or definition of victory in sight. By that time public opinion had turned against George W. Bush and they and the MSM accused him of deliberately misrepresenting the evidence of WMD. Either that or gross incompetence.

Will we ever know the whole truth? I doubt it because that became the beginning of the era of government running itself for its own purposes and the people and the consent of the governed be damned.
