I always wondered why an MI6 spy would give a crap who was elected President in the US. A new document pried out of the clammy hands of FBI Director Wray, appears to say Steele didn't write it. So who did? Let's try on Nellie Ohr working at Fusion GPS for size:

"Why was his name slapped on it? The answer is very simple: because Steele had been a credible source for the FBI in the past. ... In other words, in front of a judge, they could present Steele as a legitimate front for false information."

Bongino pointed out that Nellie Ohr, the wife of Bruce Ohr who worked for Fusion GPS, had previously written a dossier on then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

"It begs the obvious question: if Steele's name is on the dossier because he was credible because he'd worked with the FBI in the past, did he even write it? And if he didn't, is the lie that much worse that you slapped his name on political information to make it seem legitimate? Devastating," Bongino said.

Dan Bongino: Newly released FBI documents on Steele dossier, FISA applications are 'devastating'

So what does it mean if Nellie Ohr wrote the idiotic dossier? It means her husband Bruce who was #3 at the FBI knew about it all along. If he knew, Comey knew, McCabe knew, Strzok knew, they all knew what the "insurance policy" was. Every name on the FISA warrants is in deep doo doo with this out in the open.

That would be consistent that Steele didn't write the Steele Dossier since Mueller didn't write the Mueller report.

I was going to mention that too but TMI can be the death of an OP here. I have to believe if they interviewed Steele and he told them he didn't write it, how and who has kept him quiet all this time?

Yep. Authored a lot more.

"In April of 2016, not long before he took on the Fusion assignment, he finished a secret investigation, which he called Project Charlemagne, for a private client. It involved a survey of Russian interference in the politics of four members of the European Union—France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Germany—along with Turkey, a candidate for membership. The report chronicles persistent, aggressive political interference by the Kremlin: social-media warfare aimed at inflaming fear and prejudice, and “opaque financial support” given to favored politicians in the form of bank loans, gifts, and other kinds of support. The report discusses the Kremlin’s entanglement with the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and the French right-wing leader Marine Le Pen. (Le Pen and Berlusconi deny having had such ties.) It also suggests that Russian aid was likely given to lesser-known right-wing nationalists in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. The Kremlin’s long-term aim, the report concludes, was to boost extremist groups and politicians at the expense of Europe’s liberal democracies. The more immediate goal was to “destroy” the E.U., in order to end the punishing economic sanctions that the E.U. and the U.S. had imposed on Russia after its 2014 political and military interference in Ukraine."

The problem with your information is that it has Steele doing intel analysis, not an advocacy report, which is what the supposed "Steele Dossier" was about. Maybe you missed the sentence in my OP that states:

Bongino pointed out that Nellie Ohr, the wife of Bruce Ohr who worked for Fusion GPS, had previously written a dossier on then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

Of course there was a cover-story created to make Steele the author, and you just posted it.

It was his company that was under contract with Fusion GPS. Did he gather every bit of information that was in the document? Hahaha, no concern for the content or the implications of Russia's sustained attacks on liberal democracies? None, really?

I thought Russia was doing us a favor and showing us what a real democracy should look like.

Oh? So who "gathered" what? Not a word of that piece of crap was true....total fiction. No wonder you're a prog...you're naive and gullible..easy prey for the commiecrat masters to mold like a crooked clay pot.

Pretty funny that Greg Jarret is filling in for Hannity this afternoon and pitching his new book claiming Steele did this and Steele did that.....no mention of what we found out yesterday about Nellie Ohr probably being the author of the supposed "dossier". BTW, Nellie speaks fluent Russian....just sayin.
