Did it seem like Trump ‘kinda’ launched a third party to you?

I hope he does start a third party taking the reactionary bloc with him.
And the Dems win every election from now on with the GOP vote split.
It's split like 98% to 2%.
You think the Bushes, the Romneys, and Cheneys will start a new party.
The new MAGA party will attract a lot of Walkaway Dems who are sick of foreign wars and open borders.

They will lose in the mid-terms, since they can't possibly keep all the promises to all the racist and commie factions they rely on for votes and ballot box stuffing.

The Republicans will sweep the house and senate in the mid-terms.....an absolute certainty.
If they get observers in the count centres.

If there was ever a civil war in the GOP, it's over. The party belongs to one guy, and anyone who doesn't like that can either start their own party or bend over and take it.

My guess is that it will be mostly the latter.
ORLANDO, Fla. — After days of insisting they could paper over their intraparty divisions, Republican lawmakers were met with a grim reminder of the challenge ahead on Sunday when former President Donald J. Trump stood before a conservative conference and ominously listed the names of Republicans he is targeting for defeat.

As Democrats pursue a liberal agenda in Washington, the former president’s grievances over the 2020 election continue to animate much of his party, more than a month after he left office and nearly four months since he lost the election. Many G.O.P. leaders and activists are more focused on litigating false claims about voting fraud in last year’s campaign, assailing the technology companies that deplatformed Mr. Trump and punishing lawmakers who broke with him over his desperate bid to retain power.

To the surprise of no one Trump's speech was about revenge, grievance, and absolute fidelity to him.............to the exclusion of policy proposals, expanding the party's base, and what is best for the country.
I tuned in for a few minutes and all I heard were the same grievances, victimhood and lies he's been spouting forever.

And the flock was just eating it up. I just don't get it. What a bunch of snowflakes.
Have you been watching your guy at all?.....he is a hot mess...makes Trump look presidential....Trump will run in 24 and he will win the GOP primary...the question is who do you have that can beat him...certainly not Joe...and there won't be covid rule changes since the states held their GOP legislatures together....isn't that interesting how the GOP kicked the dems ass all over the map but lost the white house?...doesn't add up my friend....

I don't know, the Democrat machine has gotten very effective at stealing elections

It’s undeniable, he has completely hijacked the Party, he has no reason to start a third party.
He didn't hijack anything. More republican voters prefer him over any other potential candidate.
He espoused ideas that united people in the party.
Did obama hijack the democrat party in 22008/2012?

I hope he does start a third party taking the reactionary bloc with him.
He's not starting a third party. Did you listen to his speech?
There is no "reactionary block" and nothing was "hijacked". Those are just weasel-words put out there by propagandists.

Correct, no words for Trumpsters. I'm done with asymmetrical online conversations. Believe whatever you'd like.

The regional and state and local power families have a say also. They need to get on board or be neutered. Not an easy thing.

I know he is not starting a third party. I just suggested he should do so.

If there are those who are further to the right than traditional conservatives, what other name should apply if not “reactionary”

so again, the people are the party. One can rant and rage all day, if people don't follow you, you got fking nothing. Trump has the people. Smart money goes that many will follow him from the political positions shortly. Those who wish to win anyway. funny how people think there needs to be a party in control rather than the people. Trump started the people power party.

No, it didn't seem that way at all....in fact, the total opposite.....

“I am not starting a new party. That was fake news, “We will be united and strong like never before. We will save and strengthen America and we will fight the onslaught of radicalism, socialism and indeed, it all leads to communism,” D. Trump

Yeah....you've been feed more lies, propaganda and click bait by the leftist's propaganda machine. This was a hoax, like all the other hoaxes the dembots have fallen for.
No need for another party. He's got complete control of the RNC, so historical goals of the repubs are out, and trump rule is in.

Trump achieved historical conservative goals. That's why the leftists hate him so much. That's also why he owns the GOP.

How about "Readers of the Constitution"?
"Reactionary" is not a compliment any more than when I call democrats "marxist". It implies an extremist nature.

The China virus will not be an issue in 2024.
They won't be able to use it as a pretext to issue millions of unverified mail in ballots.

This where we are going to bump heads. I would opine traditional conservatives were “Readers of the Constitution”, more so then those further to the right.
