Obama's current approval ratings are about 20 points higher than Bush's in his last year, and Bush's approval ratings were high compared to Cheney's.
Bush and Obama were both fuck ups. So whats your point?
My point is that you're not living in a reality-based world.
For example, the American public (as a whole, of course) STILL blame former President Bush 43 more for the current state of the economy than they blame President Obama for it.

Absolutely - President Cheney anyone??
He is very frail and in terrible health. Seeing his condition deterioriate on tv is hard to see. He tries to say he is doing well but all you have to do is look at him.

Cheney did an outstanding job in public service his entire career. He served the people of the Equality State for years as a U.S. Congressman, having been reelected more times than anyone before him. Then he was tapped on the shoulder and became the White House Press Secretary, White House Chief of Staff, Secretary of Defense, and then Vice President of the United States.
If he made inexperienced people mad because he knew how to get what we needed without having North Korea go ballistic, it's too bad his advice was ignored while someone tested the latest experiment in proven ineptitude, Korea felt empowered to develop nukes faster than ever while nobody was looking as they lied their butts off in negotiations with someone who believed them.
The only people who hate Cheney are naive nincompoops who don't have the balls to talk in terms of or else stiff consequences with America haters.
Right now we have dozens of dictatorships who can get nukes if they have enough oil and negotiators who can pull the wool over fools' eyes.
When we blow up suddenly one day, and if you are one of the lucky ones to survive, you were told.
Cheney never pulled any punches out of the bag unless he was blatantly disregarded by a sophomoric know-nothing. Never.
He's one of the best Americans who ever graced this planet.
