Justice as Fairness: Political not Metaphysical is an essay by John Rawls, published in 1985.[1] In it he describes his conception of justice. It comprises two main principles of liberty and equality; the second is subdivided into Fair Equality of Opportunity and the Difference Principle.

Rawls arranges the principles in 'lexical priority', prioritising in the order of the Liberty Principle, Fair Equality of Opportunity and the Difference Principle. This order determines the priorities of the principles if they conflict in practice. The principles are, however, intended as a single, comprehensive conception of justice—'Justice as Fairness'—and not to function individually. These principles are always applied so as to ensure that the "least advantaged" are benefitted and not hurt or forgotten.

Rawls presented the theory in the famous A Theory of Justice, subsequently revising it in Political Liberalism.

So where is the Justice and fairness for the Jews and other Israeli's then, or are you once again applying special rules ( aka racism ) to the Jews. The BDS is growing so fast that even Nut&Yahoo is squealing like a pig!

Then why isn't it news across the world, why don't we see the protests aired on our T.V's and watch as shops are forced to close down because they have no income. Could it be that the police in civilised nations arrest the Nazi's doing this and send them on their way with a warning of long prison terms if they are caught again. Many in the UK are students who now face losing their loans and places at Uni, this means getting a job to support themselves which is the last thing they want. In the US the government has told the Uni's that if they embrace BDS they will lose government funding and grants so this means the students who support BDS are kicked out of Uni.

My take on things.... US foreign policy decisions are based upon power and money... Rarely for 'humanitarian' reasons!

Does the US collaborate with 'hostiles'? Yes, I believe they do... To destabilize those who they consider, in their 'wisdom'(?), to be 'in the way'...

History shows that the US has made some pretty bad decisions, unfortunately, the US is still making them!

In South Africa, all South African citizens had voting rights, including a small minority of non-whites that made up less than 20% of South African citizens, although they went to different schools, there were restrictions with respect to inter-marrying and they had different property rights, like the non-Jews in Israel. Non-whites that were citizens were also represented in parliament. The non-white citizens of the Bantustans, completely controlled and militarily occupied by South Africa but deemed separate entities from South Africa were not South African citizens and voted in their respective Bantustans. If these non-citizens were included, together with the non-whites considered citizens of South Africa, would have been the majority in South Africa. Excluding the people citizens of the Bantustans the Whites were the vast majority of South African citizens during Apartheid.

You do not understand the legal and constitutional bases in South Africa. No black South Africans had any vote in South African parliament. Indians did and represented the lower pillar of the tricameral parliament, which meant that ultimately they couldn't vote on anything material. This is nothing like the legal dispensation in Israel proper, where all citizens vote within the same parliamentary system. Further in South Africa, blacks could not have sexual relations with whites, could not vote and as I said, were not represented in parliament at all. Legal scholars, highly critical of Israel, like Judge Goldstone have rejected Israel as being an Apartheid state. There is no racially based system in Israel proper, unlike in South Africa.
