Despite all the anti-GM crops theatrics, anti-capitalist bias and opposition to empirical science, nothing substantive has been produced that would dissuade most farmers from using genetically engineered seeds. Particularly when GM crops are designed to resist pests, require less fertilizer or water, and are more bountiful than conventional crops – or some combination of these.

I'm for GM crops. But am very sceptical of fertilizers and pesticides. They definetely help, without a doubt, but do they harm us? I'm sure in 30 years from now, we will find out that pesticide #47554 causes testicular cancer and grows man boobs on old people. But this is how we learn, trial and error. Imagine if we still used shovels and oxen, and stictly water and horse poop for fertiziler?
