If you could only take the collected works of one author with you to a deserted island, who would you pick, and why.

Stephen King

There are so many books and short stories to read and they are entertaining.

I've read maybe 2-3 of his books, and those were at least 25 years ago. People said his writing faltered after his accident. Do you agree?

Oh yea he lost his edge after the accident. I know that his books are more or less bubble gum for the mind but they are really entertaining. I figure if I am on a deserted island the reading should be easy.

Good point.

It's funny, I was thinking I wouldn't want to stick to any one author/genre, but that's pretty much what I've done for the most part since the mid-1980's. Fantasy.

I need to find out what authors write in more than one genre.
