Desantis flaming out: -19 in recent FL approval

‘In its preamble, the bill’s authors write that their aim is to prohibit “classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity.”’

Don’t say gay.

Save it, Jones. It's been disproven...and stay the fck away from children

Not specifically it isnt. The jaywalking law makes it illegal for gay people to jaywalk but it's not targeting gay jaywalkers.

Its effect throughout the state is teachers are pressured not to discuss sexuality by Principals and School Boards.
It is easier to dismiss a teacher than risk a lawsuit or state investigation

Would you like to be polled? ;)
It is always hard to come up with a really representative poll that cuts across ideological or party lines.

If you do it by telephone then it is whoever answers the phone that day and you hope they tell the truth.

If you do through the media then it is whoever has an interest in the particular media.

I have no idea how you could poll 3,000 Florida voters and have it represent the state as a whole.

What algorithm do they have that would say that those 3,000 poll respondents represents Florida as a whole? If they are all Democrats then how valid is it?

In this case a self proclaimed Progressive organization did the polling so it has no real credibility.

DeSantis is loved here in Florida.

Stupid Moon Bats like this Citygator Moon Bat don't want to admit it. He gets a lot of stuff wrong on this forum.

Looks like instead of winning over more people in his trek to become President he is alienating people as they watch his bumbling. Desantis is already unlikeable and now has a record of championing highly unpopular legislation. Looks like the GOP is all Trump’s if he stays out of jail.

Before this spring’s state legislative session, a majority of Floridians believed the state was on the right track (46% right track / 42% wrong track). As the session came to a close, however, 50% believe the state is headed in the wrong direction, while only 42% think it’s on the right track.

Pollsters Florida Watch and Progress Florida, collectively known as the Florida Communications and Research Hub (Hub), attribute this shift in their surveys to Floridians’ growing dissatisfaction with the agenda carried out by Gov. Ron DeSantis and legislators in Tallahassee.

“When we look back on this legislative session, it is clear Floridians do not believe that Gov. DeSantis and legislative leaders focused on the priorities they believed would improve their lives,” said Progress Florida Executive Director Mark Ferrulo.

I didn't follow the Florida Governorial race. I'm sure that DeSantis ran as a conservative, but did he run as the far-right extremist that he's turned out to be?

I wonder if Floridian really knew what they were voting for.

Which of his legisl;ative bills do you think were unpopular

Which ones weren’t? Exempting the Governors travel from the Sunshine law? We can’t let Floridians know they are paying for DeSantis to run for President. The book banning?

We can’t have kids exposed to those books now can we? I mean. Pocahontas? Really? Black Aviators is controversial?

And let’s look at the rest of the polling. How is DeSantis doing in the rest of the nation?

DeSantis ties Harris? Really? Harris who is about as popular as Herpes and all DeSantis can manage is a tie?

It plays well with the extreme right. But not so well with the rest of the nation.

More people have a favorable opinion of Disney than DeSantis. The same people. In the same poll.

So you gave DeSantis a week, huh? Another stupid racist post from a leftist moron

What has DeSantis done that is "extreme?" You're just parroting the let wing media, and you're a racist

DeSantis attack against the LGBT community is extreme.

Explain how preventing presenting gay issues and pornogropy to small children is "extreme." We'd be as against that as we are if it was heterosexual content and pornography too.

My question was meant for an intelligent person who would specifically understand and explain these issues and show how it's "extreme," not a baby who just throws out a meaningless BS line that sounds bad but doesn't mean anything. Unfortunately, that's you. Engage in this or go away

His attack on Disney is also extreme. Did the people of Florida know that he was going to run Florida's largest employer out of the State?

Why should Disney get a deal that none of their competitors do? You're just picking left wing lies and talking points. Your lame, shallow repetition of Democrat talking points shows you have nothing

Gay people have a right to be recognized as having equal right as everyone else. Health education must cover all aspects of people's health, and children should be taught life's realities.

Not teaching about homosexuality is as much a disservice to heterosexuals as it is to homosexuals. Should heterosexual men find out about homosexuals by asking their new girlfriend why her adam's apple is so large? Is that how DeSantis found out?

Disney made a deal with the State of Florida when Disney world was first conceived. The State of Florida has no right to renege on that deal. There are no competitors complaining about unfair advantages given to Disney. Is Busch Gardens or Universal Studios suing? The all know that without Disney, Orlando would be the same shithole truck stop that it was before Disney World. Without Disney world all their competitors would go under. Disney World is the best thing that ever happened to Central Florida.
