Dems immigrant voting plans

But the leftist will dismiss this argument. Because 2016 didn’t work well. And 2020 will be hard for these people who are banking on this group of people

Dem's are so butthurt over losing to Trump and Trump's weekly insults its hard to say how many laws they will break in 2020 to defeat him.

The Dems have special precincts set up just for illegals. They don't have to register or anything. Just come in, get the free tacos, and ka-ching! Democracy in action.
Chicken, beef or pork?

Near Santa Anita, stick with the chicken.

I've been lurking to see when you'd post, eagle. I really don't see an issue than recent immigrants tend to vote for the more progressive party, esp in the large cities. My father was German/Irish and his father and maternal grandparents were immigrants. My father voted straight dem ticket until Reagan. He openly said "immigrants always vote dem until they have enough money to vote republican." Immigrants who are not white (and Cuban) may have more friction in assimilating that those from Europe. Jews have always been a very small minority, and their interests are largely driven by fears of oppression and a Jewish state.

But I was lurking because I wanted to say I changed my mind about "amnesty" and agreed more with you than I did years ago. I still don't see any useful or possible way to deport people who have lived and worked peacefully for decades and raised families. But I don't think they should ever be citizens and able to vote if they came here illegally. And I'm not sure it would be legal, but I don't think I'd be opposed if they never got to collect soc sec and medicare despite paying into them over their working lives. We don't need to incentivize breaking the law.

I still think prosecuting employers is the only real way to largely cut illegal immigration, though.

Hey bennie how are you these days? Doing well I hope. As for your post I have immigration issues in two ways, legal and illegal. A manageable controlled legal immigration program I have no problem with. I do firmly believe that the H1-B program needs to be tightened up. What Disney and other companies did a few years ago was dead wrong.

We do need a tougher program for illegal immigration particularly felons.

All's good, and I hope with you too.

I just wanted to say I've come around to the position that we have no responsibility to make the US hospitable to people who have been here legally for many years. Medicare and Soc Sec will be major drains on our ability to pay for things like police, defense and interstates until Boomers die off. If people here illegally are not deported for some reason such as they are raising kids and putting the kids in foster care is self-defeating in terms of govt spending, then we should face the fact. But if they want the opportunity to be here illegally and work, they can pay the taxes for soc programs for which they should be ineligible.

Like the Clash said: should I stay or should I go. (-:
