I believe its still an uphill fight for Talerico, but that Cornyn would have had an easier time. Paxton's baggage is pretty toxic for nonMAGAs. Combined with the conditions driving a potential blue wave, and Talerico has better chances that other Democrat Senate candidates in quite some time.

Paxton ended up with 851,000 votes to 900,000 votes for Cornyn. Jasmine Crockett got over a million votes in finishing second which were more than Paxton or Cornyn got.

In the runoff, Paxton got 855,000 which means that Trump's endorsement was worth 4,000 votes. Cornyn collapsed as he only got 500,000 votes. Those 400,000 voters that Cornyn lost likely will vote for Tallarico or stay home.

The economy today is booming compared to where the Dems had it, there were numerous wars the last time the Dems had Washington, not just wars but they surrendered to terrorist. Frankly what we are cleaning up now is a result of that, and yes yoj have a bad candidate
