Democrats willing to ignore the courts if they don't get their way! So much for Law and Order

Maybe you're caught in a partisan no IQ zone, but it's the opposite of how you paint it. This is big government telling local government what to do. I thought republicans believed in local government (closest to the people) being the place where such decisions should be made.
Good lord, seriously? Individual jurisdictions should be able to do what ever they with Judicial over sight? You're an idiot.
People at the lowest possible level should make their own choices. Abbott is telling them, they don't have that right. He would rather big government tell people how to behave, rather than leave that choice for either themselves, or the elected officials closest to them.

People at the lowest levels are NOT permitted to violate rights.

Incorrect, but you knew that. This is legitimate government business in protecting the State Constitutional rights of the citizens from tyrants. Or is it your contention that local municipalities can just do whatever the wish with no regard to established laws and their Constitution?
The texas constitution is silent on wearing masks. Thus it is up to the locals to decide that policy. Or leave it to the individual.

They cannot do anything without Judicial oversight, don't be an idiot.

LOL! You really use that argument when said "big govt" gave the right to choose to the people? Seriously?
Are you THAT fucking stupid? Hilarious :lmao:
Abbot (big government) said that the local government couldn't do what they thought was in the best interest of their locals. Instead of that decision being made by people elected by the people they're making rules for, it's being made by somebody elected who doesn't have to answer to their local people.

Incorrect. The Texas Consitution is clear on liberty, and that pertains to the people, not the institutions.

The people don't want the masks. The institutions (school boards and unions) want to take away their right to refuse. The Texas Supreme court backed the people, as they should.

AGAIN, more power went to the people, where it belonged.
Do you understand this time?

Ah. The "every body else is doing it defense." What, are we back in third grade?
No, the "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye".

Your criticism of Biden in the face of your silence over Trump shows that you should not be taken seriously. So I'm not taking you seriously.

Then why were state officials fining companies for not closing and for violating mask mandates last year? The governor in Michigan expected all citizens in her state to follow orders. Could the state of Texas thus fine schools and citizens for demanding mask mandates be upheld?

Seems you want it just one way.

Moron, no one takes you seriously, you have been and you continue to be a joke.

The institution is the school board, who are voted on by the local people to run the local schools. Isn't this where such decisions are properly made. Not by big government taking away their right to run their own schools.

I agree government needs to but out. If someone wants to wear a mask, fine, if not fine, it's an individual choice.

In terms of 'local power vs state courts' this is no different than a school board deciding to segregate black and white kids to seperate schools.
