Local governments currently set speed limits.

And they are also set by the states on what their limits are as well. Putting masks on I think is a state and not local by judging how all the mandates came down, it was governors deciding how their states would handle issues. So if the states are good enough to lock us all down, if states can tell all their citizens what to do, what has changed in the last couple months that makes it that the mask mandates are now decided by local governments, other than you favoring the wearing of masks.

You are talking big government issuing that law, which is in conflict with those from the local government, who should be making that decision.

No small governments made laws last year, it was all state governors that locked down and required masks, local cities had absolutely no choice and the courts in those states upheld the states rulings. So I call BS on your idea of local governments getting to make the calls.

Instead of complaining about a typographical error, how about answering his point. Freedom of choice, made at the lowest level, whether the people, or the local government that is most directly responsive to the people.

You know, I realize the truth means very little to you, but the FACT is that nothing in Abbott's order says people can't choose to wear a mask if they wish. All it says is that the local district can't MAKE everyone wear masks. So, Abbott's ensuring freedom of choice, making your post a pack of lies.

It appears that the Texas Supreme Court has once again sided with liberty and freedom against the fascist tactics of the left. Perhaps to no avail, however.

The Texas Supreme court has halted the restraining order that several Texas counties and school boards had filed in order to ensure that they can mask your child, even though children are not at significant risk. In addition, several school districts had sued so that they could shackle your child with masks.

Of course, just like the Democrats in the State Legislature, who run awsay when they can't have their way, these school districts are pushing back, saying;
