I've noticed the same thing playing out for years now. The Right—flawed as it may be—usually focuses on issues: jobs, inflation, border security, etc. Meanwhile, a lot of the Left’s energy still seems aimed at Trump himself, like he's some kind of political solar eclipse they can’t stop staring at.
But here’s the problem: regular people care more about rent, groceries, and paychecks than about whether Trump said something spicy on Truth Social. When the focus is always on Trump instead of real-world issues, it starts to sound like you’ve got nothing else to offer—and that’s how people start tuning you out.
If the Left wants to win people over, it’s got to stop making everything about Trump and start showing folks how their policies help everyday Americans. You don’t win hearts and minds by shouting about the orange guy—you win by proving you care about the person struggling to fill their gas tank.
It's the last gasp of Woke, and many liberals just cannot give it up. The superiority is too alluring. First we were all -ists and -phobes, etc. Then Trump came on the scene and he is the embodiment of both Satan and Hitler, and anyone who voted for him is also an evil cult member.
That's it, that's all they have.
Threads like this prove it.
(What's really a generational killer for them is that youth HATE the Dems right now. They are fundamentally uncool and finally the kids see it!)
