Except Trump isn't against "immigrants", "minorities", or "women".

Immigrants support his ILLEGAL immigration crack down which is both a national security and an economic issue after the Democrats allowed 20 million of them over the border. Including many human/drug traffickers, murderers and rapists.

More minorities voted for him this time around, the most for a Republican since Nixon, with some polls of hispanics conveying majority support.

And a majority of women voted for him too, this time around.

You know what seems a lot more like fascism?

Purporting to know what is best for "immigrants", "minorities" and "women", while ruining their lives with high crime, high inflation, and a wide open border.

But the current trajectory does not look good for the Democrats.

There is nothing binding together contingencies like illegal immigrants, welfare cheats, and ivory tower pseudo-intellectuals except their mutual hatred of MAGA.

This and control over the media used to be enough.

The media has cracked, and with it the coalition is beginning to buckle under its own incoherence.

Except! Democracy's great hurrah is a very real threat in fascism's infancy.

Democracy's faithful in the military will almost certainly attempt to fall on their swords, to save what they understood was their Constitution and freedoms.

In the last 3 presidential elections, the majority of Americans voted for the Democrat twice. Democrats won the 2018 midterms and exceeded expectations in the Republican storm that was supposed to happen in 2022. In the last 7 elections, Republicans have only received the majority of the popular vote in 2004 and 2024.
