Democrats' Own Poll: "Everyone Hates Us, We Suck", The New Republic: "What If the Political Pendulum Doesn't Swing Back?"

The CHIPS Act you whine?

From 2024. Just another boondoggle “your party” advanced.

The Biden administration recently promised it will finally loosen the purse strings on $39 billion of CHIPS Act grants to encourage semiconductor fabrication in the U.S. But less than a week later, Intel announced that it’s putting the brakes on its Columbus factory. The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has pushed back production at its second Arizona foundry. The remaining major chipmaker, Samsung, just delayed its first Texas fab.

This is not the way companies typically respond to multi-billion-dollar subsidies. So what explains chipmakers’ apparent ingratitude? In large part, frustration with DEI requirements embedded in the CHIPS Act.

Commentators have noted that CHIPS and Science Act money has been sluggish. What they haven’t noticed is that it’s because the CHIPS Act is so loaded with DEI pork that it can’t move.

The law contains 19 sections aimed at helping minority groups, including one creating a Chief Diversity Officer at the National Science Foundation, and several prioritizing scientific cooperation with what it calls “minority-serving institutions.”
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing:
The CHIPS Act aims to onshore semiconductor manufacturing, creating numerous jobs in chip fabrication plants (fabs). These positions include roles like technicians, engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel.

  • Construction:
Building new fabs and expanding existing facilities will generate significant construction jobs.

  • Research and Development:
The CHIPS Act also supports research and development in advanced chip technologies, leading to jobs for scientists, researchers, and engineers in universities and private companies.

  • Workforce Development:
The act invests in training programs to equip workers with the skills needed for semiconductor manufacturing, creating jobs for trainers, educators, and program coordinators.

Just another DIE addled boondoggle.

In 2026 and 2028 Republicans will have to run on Trumps Trade Wars.

Prices of necessities are going to rise and voters will blame Republicans just like they blamed Biden

You guys have been making the same predictions since the tariffs started. The economy has only gotten better.

Dims. Always wrong. :(

Trump fucked up the economy last time

Let’s see how long he takes this time

"Everyone Hates Us, We Suck"

The idiots are finally getting the msg, HELLO earth to Democrats. How long have I been saying it's like Democrats want the country to hate them. Dipshit Joe was the final straw, America has had quite enough of the nasty depraved Dem shit stains.

No he didn't. More lies which is your thing (like all Dims). The economy under Trump was outstanding. The China flu killed the economy worldwide. Thank God Trump has gotten us out of the Biden WuFlu gutter.

Wrong. They will run on the benefits of Trump’s economic polices which include the use of tariffs to level the international trade playing field.

So shallow of you. But I repeat myself.

The pendulum always swings back.
Don't you think it usually swings back because the Party out of power makes a correction to the policies that led to their defeats? Do you see the Democrats pivoting back to more moderate policies? I don't. I see them going harder to the left. The stuff this guy who just won the Democratic primary in New York City is running on is as far left as I've EVER seen yet. Where is the voice of reason for the Democrats? John Fettermen? He's like a voice crying out in the wilderness.

Do you think excuses matter?

Didn’t help Trump in 2020
Didn’t help Dems in
“…. because I say so”

No, it’s because the party in power goes too far and pisses everybody off.

ie. The Tories in the UK

Victory dances might be premature. Communism is rising in the democratic party. Every communist country was born out of revolution. More and more elected democrats are openly calling for killing their political opponents. What's more, democrats make it obvious that criminals are their military wing.

Expect this wounded animal not to accept defeat without a fight.
Democrats are cowards. They don't attack righties, they attack freeways.

They know deep down that if they attacked righties they'd be mousy dead in no time flat.

Democrats are scared of righties. They're ginned up that way by the news media.

They're too chicken to engage in straight up war, they feel they have to take the "unconventional" route. They've gotten used to getting their way with a little low level terrorism.

We'll have to see what discipline does to these punks. Could go either way. That doesn't change the equation though.

Of course democrats are cowards. That's why the want immigrant invaders.

Look at this local politics "news story" from deep blue state Rhode Island, and then try and convince me the Dems ain't FUCKED.

I don’t know about that.

Democrats ran an absolutely terrible campaign in 2024. It would be difficult for them to match that level of stupid in the next election.

They can only improve after that disaster, I think.
