Remember my warning AFTER Trunp won in 2024, "it Trump fails his replacement in 2028 will be socialism".
Everyone celebrated Harris demise as the end of the far-left Dems, you have really short vision, especially with the indoctrination of the young for years as the older voter passes on.
Trump has made the same mistake Biden did by not focusing enough on domestic issues and it is going to backfire unless he gets loud, inpactful attention on housing and costs of living and recovering lost manufacturing.
This is also why the chances of peace with Iran are slim as China desperately does not want peace, despite what one might see on CGTN. Trump never should have visited China until there was peace with Iran, he threw away his leverage with President Xi.
Here should be U.S authorities concerns, if your agencies actually focus on long term prosperity and U.S influence, as the global socialists connivingly want to exploit America through your big socialist movement of the young and naive.
Ask yourself, why did the king of England visit Mamdani when he was in the U.S? Isn't this the most peculiar of decisions? The monarchy king visiting a seemingly lowly mayor. Queen Elizabeth wouldn't have done so. Do he and his advisors know something the average American does not?
It amazes me just how giddy some in the U.S get as soon as their team obtains some power, meanwhile China is executing their longterm agenda right in your face, out in the open for all to see, yet, no one bothers to actually look.
I am sorry, you seem normally reasonable...
Let's get one thing straight... US is a mixed Economy (like every other first world country). It is capitalism (unusually regulated) and Social Programs mixed to offer what society thinks best.
US is more Capitalist than most of Europe (and Canada) they have more Social Programs (e.g. Healthcare, Third Level education...).
No one is going to move US to total Capitalism or total Socialism... IF someone does they are nuts and should be ignored (don't even bother arguing as it is a waste of time).
At present moderate Democrats would be centre right politically in Europe. More like normal Conservatives in the UK. Progressive Democrats would be more like Social Democrats or Centre like Tony Blair's Labour Party in UK... None of these are that major shifts...
It has shown that countries or States who invest more in infrastructure and education generally do better over the long term than those that concentrate on only tax cuts... Again this is a balancing act. The big thing business wants is stability and fairness (i.e. lack of corruption) to thrive, it reduces risk and means there are less variables to go wrong when taking on risk...
Mandani is running a highly integrated city... What works in this highly concentrated area might not suit everyone... Example, the subway and buses are expensive but it is the main lifeblood of the city... It is how low skill workers like cleaners can afford to clean those offices downtown, if cleaners had to drive and park in the city they would need far higher wages to justify the extra time and expense... Ditto for Police, Teachers, Hospital staff.... Europe (and Mandami) knows this and knows that a high functional public transport is needed for NYC to compete with other large cities on a global stage... New York isn't competing with Dallas or Houston, it is competing with London, Paris, Tokyo.... for those highly paid financial sector jobs...
As for China... They are a manufacturing economy, US has limitations to compete in that space... But trying to do it with tariffs is a bit stupid... The Trans Pacific Partnership(TPP) was the way to compete with not only China but the other BRIC countries. That was scuppered in 2017 and China has still not stopped celebrating...
To China, Trump is the gift that keeps on giving... He scuppered TPP, he removed USAID from Africa and let China have full access to their Rare Earth Metals mining, ditto for Asia... Trump only released his mistake when they didn't have enough of this for the US defence industry...
The problem with America is they so invested in ideology that they can't admit to poor leadership... Trump especially has been very poor, he ignores even good Conservative ideas for populistic ones... Populism is short term thinking in many cases, it is snap(card game) when everyone else is playing Chess...
