For example, a court brief was filed in Harris County to deny 127,000 voters their franchise because the commissioner of electors allowed people to use drive-up voting. It's also voter suppression when the governor of Texas through an EO allows only one drop box per county, which again is designed to hurt voters in Harris County, which has 2.4 million mostly non-white voters. There were 12 before the EO was written.

Simply because the authors of voter suppression are failing doesn't mean it's not going on.

Nope. If the ballot isn’t received by Nov 3rd it shouldn’t count. If I show up at a polling location on Nov 4th it’s too late, I don’t get to vote. Why should a mail in ballot be any different?

If it is postmarked by Nov 3 then it should be counted. There is no difference.

Even traditional mail in voting, they demand a “reason” you want to vote by mail.

A reason was pretty obvious in 2020 for Absentee Voting which is how I did it and I don’t recall any pushback from Republicans. What I find disturbing is you have yet to provide justification for MailIN ballots- which are already the riskiest form of voting - to be permitted to be counted upon receipt after Election Day. That makes no sense.

Republicans know the higher the turnout the greater the chance they lose.

Yup mail in votes should be there by the time specified. Anything after that shouldn't be counted and that includes both Trump and Biden votes. If the ballot doesn't get there on time, it should be tossed and not counted. That's why there are rules.

Now if a State decides something different than those are the rules to be followed. It will mean a long wait to see who has won.

Taxes do not have to filed by April 15. They have to be postmarked by the 15th. A ballot being sent on the day of the election should be given a reasonable amount of time to get there and be counted.

Taxes and elections are clearly different. Is there a public announcement of who the new “tax president of the country” is?
How you conflate bill collection with election of leader is pathetic.
Votes need to be counted by a set date, so the new president can be decided and that’s that.
There should be a set cut off date to have mail in ballots post marked by, so they are in the hands of those who count them on time.
