Actually, that happens all the time. It usually takes DAYS to count the votes in large urban centers.
Most states are normally called on the basis of PROJECTIONS. Except those five states were too close to call.
Just like Florida was in 2000, and we didn't get a final count for weeks.
Or Florida and Ohio were in 2004, and we didn't get a call for later the next day.

Actually, impeaching a president after he leaves IS reasonable if you take the position Trump has is that everything he does is legal unless he is impeached, and he is immune after he leaves office.
