The clear trend on this forum is for Democrats to seek validation for their choice of President in 2020. Biden's administration has been an acknowledged disaster for the US, and they are increasingly desperate to maintain a justification for their votes. Since any objective comparison of Biden's policies with those of the Trump administration clearly favor the latter, they had focused on Trump's alleged personality flaws. But with Biden's personal flaws now exceeding anything attributable to Trump, they have resorted to corrupt criminal prosecution as a new way to rationalize their abysmal choice. Ironically, this victimization has only burnished Trump's political standing.
This has left Democrats with a dilemma regarding their own reputations. Must they continue to pretend that Biden was a superior alternative to Trump, or can they credibly pivot to casting a pox on both houses and coming up with another attempt to evade responsibility for their decisions?
