There has been a surge of immigrant children across our borders in recent months. I'm sure much of that was inspired by the Obama Administration's signals about how it would treat illegal immigrant children.

This surge has overwhelmed our facilities for housing and feeding illegal immigrants in detention centers while they await disposition of their cases. Because of the surge, there is not enough room in the detention centers, and so many of these kids have been released onto the streets, making them extremely vulnerable.

So more money is needed to provide additional housing and food for this surge. I suppose providing food and shelter in a government detention center could be called "welfare" if you wanted to be an equivocating dickhead.

Language in the bill also gives the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) additional powers to shift funds between accounts to cope with the problem.

Under the law, HHS is responsible for feeding and caring for the children after they are apprehended by border security officials. The department bares the biggest share of costs in handling the immigrants.

What needs to be done is them to be shipped back where they came from. Am I heartless for saying this. NOPE.
