I used to live in this city and they could use the workers.. Dumb ass Abbott wants to put on a show, but there are plenty of smaller ciities he could bus migrants to and they would iimmediately get put to work. On top of this Topeka had a bunch of empty abandoned houses thhese guys could fix up annd live in.

But Topeka, the capital of Kansas, wishes a few of those buses would come its way to join its growing Hispanic community that makes up 17 per cent of the population.
The city has an unemployment rate of just 2.9 per cent, compared to the national 3.7, and 7,000 open jobs it can't fill from the ranks of its about 175,000 locals.
City officials launched the Choose Topeka program in 2019, offering up to $15,000 to anyone moving from outside Shawnee County, with a cap of $300,000 a year.
