Democrat Tom Wolf Is Blowing Out Gov. Tom Corbett in Pennsylvania 47%-25%

Pennsylvania is primarily a blue state it has gone Democrat in the past 6 Presidential elections so is this supposed to be some kind of shock or major surprise?
Pennsylvania is a moderate state. Corbett has not been a moderate. Neither has much of the House Assembly.

And it looks like Corbett will break the 8 year cycle of Governors winning two terms, then the other party taking it for two terms. It's been happening in PA since at least 1970.

Even Republicans have been polling very low for Corbett. He sucks. He's a Republican, so what else can you expect of him?

Moderate states generally don't vote the same way in 6 Presidential elections.

... says the poster from Texas :lmao:

-- who apparently is unfamiliar with terms like "majority", "plurality" and "popular vote"...

Yes, as people begin to see the true differences between Democrats and Republicans on the issues that matter most to citizens things are truly changing in favor of Democrats.

Not really. Corbett is just a shitty governor overall. Right now the GOP is well positioned for the November elections.

I would say the GOP should be well positioned to go into November, just because of the number of Senate seats the Democrats have to defend. But I wouldn't say they are positioned all that great. They have been showing voters what they believe in. That might mean the D's hold the Senate.

The Democrats they have voted for have generally been moderate in those Presidential elections. It's not Pennsylvanians fault that the GOP cannot nominate moderates for President any more.

The Republicans control the state legislature in Pennsylvania as well as 13 of its 18 Congressional seats, plus one U.S. Senate seat despite voting for the Democratic candidate for president for the last 30 years. I'd say that's pretty moderate.

Sounds to me like the Democrats just don't turn out for state elections like they do presidential ones not sure if that makes the state moderate or apathetic.

Please tell why you think what you think of Corbett? Is it because the state has not taxed the gas companies that are bring vitality back to PA? Is it the BS about education funding? Corbett has reduced spending and wasteful spending at that and has not raised direct taxes. In my opinion he is doing well and that will be what the voters decide. Although Wolf is a strong candidate he runs on his contrived facts (to be nice).

McCain and Romney, how much more moderate do you get? Why do people just keep repeating talking points? Every time that the Republicans have run anything but a conservative they lose, every stinking time.

who cares....he probably was caught with some damaging incident in his past....
Sort of

He is a Republican, and took Pennsylvania from one of the higher job creating states to down near dead last. Of course, the Republican held Senate and House made sure that would happen.

Sigh, let the lying begin: Did Corbett Sink Pa. from 7th to 49th in Job Creation? No.

Make of them what you will but here are real stats from the BLS:

Maybe you have not noticed, the country is in a malaise.

[A governor of any state can be very influential in elections especially major elections for the presidency

There is absolutely no correlation between the party of the governor and the party of the presidential candidate who wins the state.
Then you sure don't understand how politics work. Of course there is! If the governor is a Democrat, you KNOW he or she is going to support the Democratic nominee for president and campaign hard for them in his or her state and possibly elsewhere. If they win, some credit needs to be given to that governor for their help. That's how it works, fyi!

The whole topic is peculiar. Pennsylvania voting democrat is like saying water is wet.

Looks like Pennsylvania is a lost cause at this point. Electing another Communist/Progressive Democrat isn't gonna change anything. They're rapidly heading towards Third World Misery. Sadly, that's where the entire Country is heading. Big Brother wants all citizens dependent on him for their Entitlement fixes. Once that goal is accomplished, he will have achieved complete control & dominance over the People. So people are completely delusional thinking another Communist/Progressive being elected is going to change their lives for the better. It just ain't gonna happen.

Incumbent politicians don't poll at 25% and win reelection, dumb ass.

That wasn't the question.
