Chicago has the 8th highest GDP of all the cities on the planet.

And that matters zero when they are billions in debt with no way to get out of it....if you out spend your money it doesn't matter how much you make....most people get that fairly early in life....lefties never seem to understand it.....

Chicago did not outspend its GDP. If you think that you're nuts. Chicago's federal taxes pay for lots of red state programs and infrastructure btw. They're one of the major sources of wealth generation in this country.

Then why can't it pay its bills like every other American?

You mean like every other $18 trillion dollars in debt American?

For quite a few years...decades really, going back to liberal scams like the Great Society and the War on Poverty...Democratic controlled Public Employee Unions funded Democrat politicians, who they then negotiated with on Public Employee Contracts---like the Teachers Union.

Everybody involved knew this fraudulent co-conspiracy would result in the fleecing of the Taxpayer, and ultimately bankrupt the cities subjected to this Democratic Party Process....but they all knew they would be retired when it happened.

No longer.

Cities can't print money...and so Socialism and Corrupt Cronyism...the mainstays of the Democratic Party...are about to have a rupture.

As an American with children, I look forward to the Reckoning that has always been coming.
