Democrat Party on the verge of collapse

Living on past accomplishments and a dollar won't even buy you a cup of coffee. Look at where the Democrat party is now, in 2025: No leaders, no solutions, and no plans, other than to act like a bunch of spoiled children.

Now, now, Francis Collins grabbed a guitar and tried to lead 80 year olds in some protest songs. I'm sure that will do the trick!

The display put on by the Democrats during President Trump's speech to Congress was an outrage to the American people on both sides of the political aisle. It showed how the Democrat Party has become so consumed by hatred, they can no longer think rationally. Veteran news host Bill O'Reilly believes the party is on the verge of collapse.

Bill O'Reilly: Democrats 'on Verge of Collapse'

"Longtime TV host and bestselling author Bill O'Reilly said the Democratic Party is "on the verge of collapse" after the taunting they took from President Donald Trump led to a "myriad of mistakes."

O'Reilly made the comments in an interview on NewsNation on Thursday night.

"He taunted the Democratic Party into making a myriad of mistakes," O'Reilly said on "Cuomo," referring to Democrats' lack of decorum during Trump's joint address to Congress on Tuesday night."

Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, was ejected from the chamber and subsequently censured on Thursday, with 10 Democrats voting to reprimand their colleague. Roughly a dozen progressives held signs, walked out of the chamber and refused to clap for anything. Democrats even refused to acknowledge a 13-year-old cancer survivor who Trump honored during the speech.

"I think the Democratic Party is on the verge of collapse," O'Reilly said."

Honestly I believe there have been two major segments of the Democrat party for the past several years. You have the old Guard still trying to live on past accomplishments like Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters. Then you have the new comers represented by the likes of Alexandra ocasio Cortez and Ilhan Omar.

There have been a lot of fireworks between the two groups and I would say they're about ready to form their own coalitions separate from each other to the point where we could see a third party name pop up.

Having said all of that I still wouldn't underestimate their ability to pull together a coalition and make some stunning reprisals in 2026.

They operate on populism and populism is the one element of our politics that people never seem to grow tired of.

The side that says "FUCK TRUMP!".
Prove me wrong!
And there ya go. This is what I've always said.

This isn't about issues or policy for you, it's not about whether we have agreements, as much as it is about your hero, your savior, your cult. This is cultural, sociological, highly personal for Trumpsters. It's who you are.

You're either in or you're out. And if you're out, you're evil. It has destroyed families and relationships and friendships.

You people are the political equivalent of Scientologists.

So far, so good. What else do you have to say?

She's an uneducated looney.

She's a terrorist.

I would say we should be looking formation of a fairly formidable third party somewhere on the left. I think it would draw roughly 30% of the membership of the status quo party called Democrat party right now.

The very least they could do, in an effort to improving honesty, is to stop calling themselves "Democrats". Am I the only one who remembers what the term Democracy means? So yes, 'forming a third party' is an excellent idea. 👍

The almighty Progressive Socialist Party is the god of its adherents. The extremes need to be clipped. And your false pride will not do it. This is not about eliminating gains in social rights the last 60 years. This is about the stupidity of excesses to rights that are insane. In the end if things get nasty many of those rights will reduce. Joe's inflation is a warning sign. Fix warning signs.

No, it's about the opposite of that and you making false accusations like you just did.
It's exactly about the issues, Mac.
Illegal immigration, government grift, World War 3, the economy.
Corrupt Democrats and Republicans.
What you've always said is "Orange Man Bad", and you're wrong.

I don’t know that Democrats are on the verge of collapse. That’s a pretty heavy statement for a country with a two party system. The same thing was said about Republicans in 2009. With that said, Tuesday night was a horrible showing for Democrats. They really didn’t need this bad look after Trump trounced Kamala in the election.

Democrats need not worry. Trump will make the Democratic Party great again. Trump’s rule by chaos, the economy tanking, and our standing in the world collapsing, Trump’s poll numbers will go into free fall. As his poll numbers fall, Trump’s bizarre behavior will only increase. Just like in 2020, in another year the American people will want his ass out of the White House.

The Republican Party Is Now in Its End Stages

The GOP has become, in form if not in content, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union of the late 1970s.
By Tom Nichols

We are living in a time of bad metaphors. Everything is fascism, or socialism; Hitler’s Germany, or Stalin’s Soviet Union. Republicans, especially, want their followers to believe that America is on the verge of a dramatic time, a moment of great conflict such as 1968—or perhaps, even worse, 1860. (The drama is the point, of course. No one ever says, “We’re living through 1955.”)

Ironically, the GOP is indeed replicating another political party in another time, but not as the heroes they imagine themselves to be. The Republican Party has become, in form if not in content, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union of the late 1970s.

"I can already hear the howls about invidious comparisons. I do not mean that modern American Republicans are communists. Rather, I mean that the Republicans have entered their own kind of end-stage Bolshevism, as members of a party that is now exhausted by its failures, cynical about its own ideology, authoritarian by reflex, controlled as a personality cult by a failing old man, and looking for new adventures to rejuvenate its fortunes." - The Republican Party Is Now in Its End Stages

Thomas Michael Nichols[1] (born December 7, 1960) is an American writer, academic specialist on international affairs, and retired professor at the U.S. Naval War College. His work dealt with issues involving Russia, nuclear weapons, and national security affairs.

Early life and education

Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Nichols grew up in Chicopee, Massachusetts, where he attended public schools in the 1960s and 1970s.[2][3] His paternal grandparents were Greek immigrants, and his mother is of Irish descent.[4][5] He stated in a speech at the Heritage Foundation that he did not come from an educated family, noting that his parents were "both Depression era kids who dropped out of high school".

Nichols was awarded a BA degree in political science from Boston University in 1983, an MA degree in political science from Columbia University in 1984, a certificate from the Harriman Institute of Columbia University in 1985, and a PhD in government from Georgetown University in 1988. His doctoral thesis was entitled The politics of doctrine: Khrushchev, Gorbachev and the Soviet military.[6]

Nichols is a five-time Jeopardy! champion, winning during regular season play in 1994. Nichols initially lost his fifth game, but was invited back due to "a clue discrepancy."[7] He later participated in the 1994 Tournament of Champions and the 2005 Ultimate Tournament of Champions, losing in the quarterfinals[8] and the first round,[9] respectively. In a 2022 interview with Newsweek, Nichols advocated for the reinstatement of a five-day limit for winners that had been eliminated in 2003.[10]
