I get you really really really dont like drugs coming into the country. Me either. But nothing stands above the law - no matter how desperate we are. We arent at war. This is a legal issue. Congress is busy with the shutdown and appropriations. When Trump's blowing up drug boats makes someone's radar i'm sure they will authorize something. As I recall the "LAW" the president has 60 days to get congressional approval under the War Powers Resolution.

You do realize that it is illegal for any ocean going vessel to approach the United States from international waters without having been chartered and then licensed. Approaching the United States from international waters heading for an undeveloped area of the coast is a good way to get dead. It doesn't matter if there was any contraband on the boat or not.... The clandestine and unpermitted approach indicates that it is an illegal activity with or without cargo.
The very specific reason they use a ridiculous amount of horsepower to achieve speeds of 50 to 60 knots is to outrun the Coast guard boats that might intercept them. Of course they can't outrun a drone.

Yep international waters....no continental jurisdiction. Additionally with no other land mass between them and they're projected trajectory there is no need to prove where else they might be going.

It is highly doubtful at the international Court will have any leverage over the United States justice system. In fact if I recall correctly they put out an arrest warrant for George Bush. He still lives in Texas.
