To save the country and reverse the damage that's already been done, the following should happen ASAP.

1. Trump should cut federal funding to sanctuary cities who not only harbor illegals but are teaching them they are in fact entitled to come here and live off American taxpayers ever burdening our already crippled economy which was the legacy Obama and the progressive democrats left Trump. And since sanctuary city officials don't seem to mind breaking the law and going rogue for these lawbreakers, then THEY should be the ones who should have to foot the bill to house and take care of them; not the federal government and taxpayers.

2. Trump needs to get rid of that idiotic anchor baby law that allows women to step across the border at nine months pregnant, have their child, and then be awarded American citizenship just because the child was born on American soil. The citizenship status of the infant should follow and be the same as the parent.

3. And lastly sanctuary cities should also have to forfeit their rights to vote in all upcoming elections because let's fact it, anyone that would go that far to break the law to harbor criminals, would no doubt also hand them ballots and names of dead people so they can vote which according to several reliable news sources happened a lot in the 2016 election. So the truth is, if not for all the election fraud, Hillary wouldn't have won the popular vote either.

Yeah no doubt because it really is a no brainer. But my question is, WHY is it still happening? I wrote similar posts as far back as a few years ago. Since both issues have yet to be addressed, I figured maybe another reminder was needed to hopefully get the ball rolling? I mean what good does it do to spend hours typing suggestive messages such as this if nothing ever comes of them?

LOL One never knows where his seed will take root. Persistence, brother!

Good luck on the Birthright (you'll need a Constitutional amendment).
Nope. The practice of birthright citizenship is entirely a convention. Trump could end it tomorrow with an executive order.

No, the President doesn't have the power to unilaterally overturn the Constitution and 200 years of SCOTUS precedence.

It's the law, not a "convention".

And enjoy crime going up (because people won't talk to the police). It will be terrific for the black market.
(you'll need a Constitutional amendment).

No, you'll need a SCOTUS ruling on a Constitutional Amendment.

SCOTUS has already ruled on birthright citizenship, repeatedly.

as has Roe v Wade.

and it still comes up

R v W isn't a Constitutional Amendment.

Well you have a couple of problems with that.

Anchor babies:
To change or repeal a constitutional amendment, in this case the 14th amendment--requires approval of 2/3's of the Senate and 2/3's of the house--THEN it has to be ratified by 38 state legislatures. The odds of that happening are zero to NONE. You'll note the President has nothing to do with it.

Sanctuary cities--
has yet to be defined by Congress.--without a LEGAL written definition of what is a sanctuary city is there is no legal way to determine which ones are sanctuary and which ones aren't. Congress after the legal defintiion would then also have to approve of what penalties would be assessed to a legally defined sanctuary city. You'll note the President has nothing to do with it, except signing a bill that congress approved of.

This is one of the reasons Trump is being sued by Seattle Washington.

Nope. The relevant part of the Fourteenth Amendment reads "All persons born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the...etc. "

Under the jurisdiction thereof goes back to English Common Law and generally means something like "who can compel you to go to war". The United States government can compel me to fight, but not a Canadian who is on this side of the border shopping. He isn't under the jurisdiction, even if he gives birth.

The question has not been decided repeatedly. There are some dicta cases, or whatever that's called, but everything hangs on the Wong Kim Ark case from back around the time of the Chinese Exclusion Acts. First off, it was a monumentally stupid ruling, the dissent blows it out of the water, but secondly the case was not typical for what we see today. In that case Wong Kim Ark's parents immigrated legally to the United States and made the US their permanent home. Their kid, Kim Ark, was born here, but then, as a young man, decided he wanted to return to the motherland. When that didn't work out, he moved back to the US, but in the time that he was gone, the Chinese Exclusion Acts were passed and so he was prevented from entering. He sued, and eventually the Supreme Court ruled in his favor, holding that his parents were under the jurisdiction of the United States when they had their kid and, therefore, he was a citizen.

That's the ruling you claim gives illegal aliens, birth tourists, and god knows what all automatic citizenship.

Trump: 'Many' scholars say 'anchor babies' aren't covered by Constitution

"Today, this clause is widely understood to mean that the Constitution requires that everyone born on U.S. soil -- regardless of parents’ citizenship -- is automatically an American citizen. We polled a number of experts in immigration law, and each one told us that this is the mainstream view among legal scholars, without question.

The matter is not considered 100 percent settled, though. For one, the clause doesn’t directly address illegal immigration. Also, the Supreme Court has never made a specific ruling about a person born to undocumented parents."

What is it about you people who are so eager to see harmful immigration policy continue against the will of the majority of your fellow Americans?
