Please allow me to extend this heartfelt apology for the last few years. I know that President Trump's "Make America Great Again" policy was difficult for you. His strengthening of the military was probably frightening, and those tariffs he levied against you were costly. Many people in this country felt your pain, particularly those who are Democrats.

We're not a mean people. Even though you gave us that virus that killed a half million Americans, we are a forgiving country. It's probably a good thing that you did, otherwise Donald Trump would still be the President.

But he's not President now, so everything is ok again, right? I hope we didn't cause you any inconvenience but now that he's gone and Joe Biden is President, we can be BFF, ok?

Yours truly, the American people. Hugs and kisses: XOXOXOXO

LOL thinking Trump did anything constructive concerning China. He tried to start a trade war he had no idea how to fight and then abandoned the effort because China laughed off the worst he could do.

It's ok. Mr. Mean Tweets is gone now. Joe will make it all better.

Doubtful. In the end China does what they want to do in spite of anything. The day when the US had enough leverage to change the trajectory of the trade imbalance is long past.

Duhhhh...

"Washington (CNN)Former President Donald Trump started a controversial trade war with China three years ago, putting tariffs on roughly $350 billion of Chinese-made goods -- and despite the change in administration, those duties remain in place..."

Biden has left Trump's China tariffs in place. Here's why

The day that the US government had the desire to address our trade imbalance has passed and China's lobbyists have won......for now.
