Deadly Superbug Poses ‘Catastrophic Threat’ to US, Says Top Doc

A deadly fungus is causing a “catastrophic threat” in the United States and has already killed at least 61 people in recent years.

Candida auris is considered a superbug, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning that about 60 percent of people who have been infected by the fungus have died. So far, recorded cases have been mostly in New York and New Jersey, but Dr. Anne Schuchat, acting director of the CDC, is warning that it is highly dangerous and may spread.

Schuchat told STAT News this week that the fungus represents a “catastrophic threat” to the public and is one of the “scariest threats” currently facing the nation...................................................

I'm telling ya, sooner or later all these terrorist types are going to figure out that if you have a following willing to committ suicide to advance a cause, blowing shyte up is so yesterday. Multi-drug-resistant TB. Infect a few zealots, send them out in the world to breathe and cough. Malls, airlines and planes, sporting events, churches, PTA meetings, political rallies, etc; anywhere crowds gather.

And then just kick back and wait for the terror to set in.

You might want to check that article you posted, paranoia man.

It talked about a fungus, not a virus.

Some of us here know the difference even if you do not.

If I recall it becomes the most dangerous when it co-infects with bacteria's, micro-toxins and viruses. Many of the current disinfectants kill off the bugs that combat these. They create an atmosphere where the super bugs, fungi, etc. can thrive.
