Day 2: nobody's starved

We could say you can have ten percent of crops you pick and replace the illegals? Oh wait, that would be racist?
A farmer in NM is offering a keep what you pick option for anyone that wants to participate until produce is gone. Doubt they want that though. a. Too healthy. B. Too much work.

Good point. Walmart may actually be a fit place for families again.
Thank you. Although I believe that there are better places to shop for food for your family, Walmart objectively provides for low cost solutions to feed your family, therefore they do provide a service for lower income individuals, and those looking to save money on their grocery needs.

But, whether it's Walmart, or Kroger, or Food Lion, they all provide the same service regardless of the choices offered, and NO ONE has the right to go into these businesses and just take what they want freely without paying for the items they take off of the shelves. They are committing crime when they do so, and their theft ends up raising prices for ALL. In addition, if these outlets are in the neighborhoods that these people live in, after a certain amount of theft occurs, the businesses will make a determination of whether or not it is viable to continue to serve the community. And when they pull out, these same people squawking about how "they just gonna take what they want!" ends up ultimately ensuring that they have NOWHERE to go to obtaing what they need....So, those saying these things, are ultimately responsible for the lack of options in their own neighborhood....

To them, if it doesn't come with microwave instructions, it isn't edible.

.

Wo wo don't diss the Holy Microwave!
.

Of course, the home I bought four years ago has one, and I haven't used it once.

But you go right ahead.

Oh! And thanks for reminding me to take out the homemade soup I made yesterday, from the fridge, and put it over a low burner to warm up for lunch.

If they wanted to, Democrats could fund the SNAP program tomorrow.
But, no, they demand the GOP cave into adding $1.5T to the debt, repealing some of the BBB spending guns, and accept legal restrictions on what the president can do with government employees and funds.

Anyone telling you the shutdown is due to the GOP knows they are lying to you.

SNAP benefits "aka the gravy train" came to an end yesterday (at least, the federally funded benefits did). States have had to step up and perhaps - will even have to eliminate a bit of their bureaucracy in order to keep payments flowing.

As best I can tell:
1. Nobody has starved yet (despite doom and gloom predicted from the democrats)

2. Chuck Schumer is still responsible for this government shutdown.
Is that where the bar is now? Nobody starved to death in trump's America so it's all good?

Because the "hoards" aren't there? Who comprises the "hoards," their absence making things fit for families again?
Just as an example:

Several weeks ago, I had just walked into Walmart when a thirty something woman shouted over her shoulder "hurry up, Fatass!"

My immediate assumption was that she was yelling that to a friend of hers with a very nice rear end. In other words obviously joking with someone who would have no reason to take take her seriously. For her to have yelled something like that in seriousness would make her incredibly mean as well as unself aware.

I was wrong. It turned out that indeed she was yelling at a 30-something man, who was so large that he had to ride one of the store scooters. No doubt she's some kind of social security paid caretaker and feels free to treat him that way since he is basically at her mercy.

Recently, I was in Kroger, rather than walmart and there was one line with three people, and another line with only one woman and her child. The woman had a very full shopping cart with large soft drink bottles on the bottom. On a hunch, I went to the longer line instead of getting behind that woman.

As you might guess, she did not point out the bottles on the bottom. So, the clerk did not ring them up. After she paid with her EBT card and started pushing the cart away, the clerk noticed the bottles and said, "oh I didn't get those bottles."

Naturally the entitled woman threw a fit. she believed that she could only use her ebt card once per day, which may be correct. I don't know. She demanded that the entire order be "voided" and rung up again to include the bottles of soda.

As I left the store, the woman was berating the clerk, " you're not doing your job."

Those are the people I expect not to see, at least for a while. I'm not concerned about hordes. I never said that. I'm glad not to have to be around such entitled a******* for a bit. Even more, glad, for the children who will not be exposed to them. For several days

I sincerely hope that one day soon , you will wake up on a cold morning to the realization tat you don’t know where your next meal will come from. Before you smirk, and think that it can’t happen, you had better stop and think again. It all comes back around. Karma is a *****

Or maybe, like millions of people in this so called great and free country, you will have to choose between buying food , paying the rent , filling that needed prescription or keeping the lights on. Maybe you have a baby who is crying for formular.

Many people live like that. Many of them work and those who don't have good reasons not to . Anyone who denies that reality either has their head way up inside that smelly place where the sun don’t shine, or they are flat out lying. Which are you?
Is “formular” the babies daddy’s name?
