Inexplicably, the Dems used a welfare recipient who's been on SNAP for 30 YEARS as a sob story:

That woman didn't look like she was unemployable to me....Now, I don't know why she would be on welfare for 30 years, I don't know her case....But, assuming she is a healthy adult, why is she allowed to collect funds for 30 damned years?

Sounds like the segment of SNAP aid that are the working poor yes? You're assuming for some reason we are disagreeing. Again, my issue is that we are living in a country with millions of working poor and seniors who need it.

What is the alternative?

Jobs are plentiful, so much so that the previous administration imported thousands of immigrants per day - who were given legal status so they would be eligible for SNAP.

As long as the working poor have SNAP and other benefits to fall back on, they will always be willing to work for less than living wage. So long as they work for less than living wage, they will need benefits such as SNAP and other supplements to those wages.

Let's be honest, most of those Dem SNAP recipients are in no danger of starving. Snapping an elevator cable maybe, but they could live off their fat reserves for a couple of months minimum.
